These swivels worked great to fix the swivels on our bar stools that had become wobbly. We searched for new bar stools because the swivels on ours were so wobbly that the stools were becoming unsafe. Since we couldn't find any bar stools that we liked as much as the ones we had, we decided to fix them. We ordered 4 of these swivels and purchased upholstery fabric from a local fabric store to update the seats. For about $125 (swivels and fabric), we have four 20-year old barstools that look and work like new. The swivels are solid and work well. We are happy with them.

Great sturdy product that provided a quick efficient solution to a bar stool with a worn out return spring mechanism. Very easy to install. Would have been very expensive to replace an entire bar stool set because they’re no longer available. Instead we replaced a simple part.

The item works excellent! I did not notice it did not have the bolts, I had saved the previous bolts.

It perfectly fit my barstools with auto return to the front spring. After trying a few cheaper versions (that didn't work) I got this one and it fit and worked perfectly! I ordered extras because these were hard to find.

This swivel was the only swivel I found to replace the cheap ones on the Frontgate swivels that came on the stools. The swivel needs bolts since originals had them installed in swivel. With 1.5 in bolts, washers and new wing nuts the units are much better. This swivel has a protrusion nut that requires a .5” hole drilled in stool base but once done these swivels are much better than old ones. After calling Frontgate and finding that no parts are available I researched Amazon at their suggestion. This work but you need some tools and some mechanical aptitude but these swivels saved us from pitching 1 year old $500 barstools!

Center screw sits 1/4" higher than the surface of the unit itself. Therefore, it would not sit LEVEL between the base and the seat. What should have been a 15-minute replacement turned into a much longer install as I had to drill a hole in the chair SEAT to accommodate the center screw for it to sit flat. You can't turn the mechanism upside down, because you want the chair to swivel, not the base. Poorly advertised and your pictures do not depict what the unit actually looks like before purchasing it

Used this plate to replace the broken one on a kitchen island chair. It was easy to install and it fit our chair perfectly. Chair now works just like it did when new.

This was supposed to be a swivel with memory, meaning that it would turn the chair to its beginning position. While it fit my chair and installed fine, the memory part of the equation is non-existent. I paid extra $$ for that feature and now that it's installed, don't want to have to deal with a return/exchange. Don't waste your money.
