Answers on spirituality within and angels
I've known spirituality even as a little girl . Got lost in life then read the Celestine Prophecy in 1998 and noticed a new life and connection. Life was better. Still felt driven to find out more spirituality and how we affect others. I'm seventy now and read the tenth insight. It has given me an inner way of helping me heal my body and reconnected me with my guardian angel again. It has also awakened a need to always see the higher self in everyone. To be kind and daily prayerful energy out to everyone I meet every day. I had so many questions answered the hair stood up on my skin! Due to ptsd I had felt a need to control others but this has shown me that I don't need to anymore...it was fear using me. I feel so much peace.

The Secret...Realize your Intentions
The quote to intrigue and compel you to read this book: "You must understand that inside you is a great power that can be cultivated and extended, a mental energy that has always been called a prayer field." The term prayer field in this setting is in no way tangled up in the religious connotations, of kneeling down to prayer. As Chauncey Gardner said in the great movie starring Peter Sellers Being There, coincidently a very intuitive person, "you must learn to tend your garden." This book, in an entertaining novel way, begins to shine the light on how to do that. While it seems to be a Secret to too many folks, it's is my belief that really it's an intuitive reality that only needs to be, as I write in my book `Love is a Blooming Rose' awakened to.This book takes James Redfield's points from his books Celestine Prophecy and Tenth Insight and adds to them in what I would call an `adstory', a Murphyism that can be associated with the term adverb. Adstory more appropriately applies to this book than sequel, because while Redfield takes the same adventurer approach he continues to add to his moral message. In Celestine and the Tenth Insight he describes how we come to a worldview understanding of a new spiritual awareness. In Shambhala he elaborates on what you do when you realize that you have it THE SECRET, the title of another intriguing book, and are part of it.This adventure takes the reader trekking through the Tibetan Himalayas to a place called Shambhala. To give the book a sense of adventure and intrigue, trekking may not be the best word. The main character of the book is actually being chased through Tibet by the Chinese military looking to squelch the secret in the war over people's minds. He gets caught and then interacts with his enemy, only to find out that there are no enemies. Upon arrival, the reader comes to learn that Shambhala is a mythical place that only has a geographical location because you are trekking there. And that trek has a physical journey and a spiritual journey. Shambala is a place in your mind.Says Redfield: "On the world view spectrum there are doomsday voices showing us that that our Western lifestyle is not sustainable. These folks are countered by technologists who invent there way to the next unsustainable plateau. Which over the history of man is a very short step to the next break through, giving us the impression that time is speeding up." But then I ask what is time? (see my many reviews on this subject...space and time) This book proposes a sustainable future for mankind. It's somewhat of a paradigm shift for those who have not awakened to the Secret. So to navigate the poles of this spectrum, Redfield offers sustainable growth along with humane technology growth. It is an evolution of slowly turning pages. This is Redfield thesis in a entertaining venue. What I hear in those words is: A growth in technology that takes a look at the `whole of our social being before it introduces scientific break-thru's to society. I call it science with a conscience. I have been pleading for this for years. Is there a law of attraction that finally has me read this book? Imagine, science not conned by the need to push through for the sake of pure science. Imagine an intuitive move toward the sacred, and optimism based on a spiritual vision of where the world can go. Spiritual intuition is a metaphor that comes out of the book. So what is that? It is the subtle turning of pages in your life that embrace synchronicity; those mysterious coincidences that could pop up in a second that makes a page turn on to a new chapter in your life.Where the book goes beyond previous Redfield books in this area is the subject of prayer. Not payers that start with "bless me father." Not prayers that start with "Dear God I need..." The rest is found by searching on key word cigarroomofbooks. Please share your views.

More Learning
While this story in book 3 of the series isn’t as well written as the first, it definitely teaches how one can use their spiritual abilities to accomplish great things, without the ego of course. Unlike many other spiritual books, an actual story is told while still letting the reader know what steps need to be taken to achieve inward and outward well-being for self and for humanity. Also, it is a quick read with minimal characters and a great storyline that could quite possibly be turned into a movie. A plus for those who are more visual when it comes to understanding things.

Okay. i think we get it now.
This is the last book in the series that I am going to read. I'm not sure if its because it was boring, or if its because I already knew most of what he was saying in the book. Im pretty sure its the latter as the author appears to keep repeating himself in order to fill out the pages. Also, the characters are all alike. I believe they all think and talk like the author. It's important to bring some dimension to your characters. Base their nuances and overall character on people you know, ya know? Not a bad book but..I got it.

Back to Mainstream Religion with a twist
Those who enjoy Redfield always have mixed feelings. The mixture comes from fairly low quality writing with a deep message-- an odd combination indeed. Redfield might argue that this paradox is a link in the "coincidence" chain, attracting some, bypassing others. If you watched the Celestine movie (worth watching), you saw the same thing-- some pretty bad acting coupled with some good messages, particularly about relationships, controlling behaviors, etc. If you prefer hard to soft, a more edged, and much better shot movie on the topic is Besson's (Fifth Element) and Stratham's REVOLVER --a violent and deep exploration of the negative consequences of ego, not for all, but for students of the science of mind-- a real treat, especially if you're a TRANSPORTER fan and don't mind a little jog into the mind and the "game behind the game" ala 13th floor, matrix, etc.The present volume leaves the iffy and distracting new age detritus of reincarnation and "signs of the end" of the 10th, and gets us back into the enjoyable and important topics of love and harmony with ourself and others. To translate what a Christian or Baha'i perspective might identify with: his idea of coincidences harmonizes with the idea of "confirmations of the Holy Spirit"; his idea of the "unseen energy" is congruent with the perennial idea of grace; his idea of "prayer" coinicides with- well, prayer! If you got to this book from a link on request prayers dot com, the idea of an expanding network of prayer for the whole planet seen there has more than a fictional edge-- namely, the older Christian idea of a "prayer list." Anyone who has had serious problems, with health, relationships, finances, and who has tried the prayer list concept, knows that the energy he's talking about is far more than just fiction or new age claptrap. Hopefully deeply religious people, whether Islamic, Christian, Bahai, Hindu, Buddhist or Jewish, will take the time to read this-- the principles are truly grounded in many older mystic traditions from every Prophet. In the end, regardless of how altruistic we are, we judge books like this by relating them to our personal experiences and lives. On that front, it stands the test of time and is as valuable in 2009/2010 as it was a few years ago! Well worth reading-- and not just for the entertainment, diversion or fun-- will truly inspire and may even solve difficult personal dilemmas, situations or problems. If it helps you in a personal way, the grace is there, "by any other name..."

Exciting novel and amazing insight!
It was "coincidence" that brought me to buy this book and if you have read the Celestine Prophecy series at any time, I guess you have come here the same way. If you were lead to this book by coincidence, then just buy it (or manifest it if you know how :))I couldn't put this book down, and after reading this I went back to the previous books in the series to re-read them. I have had the Celestine Prophecy since it came out many years ago and the message is so very relevant to the changes going on today. On reading the 11th insight I was amazed to find that I had experienced a lot of the things mentioned within it for quite some time but never really thought anything of them. Things you didn't even realise were significant in your life will make sense when you read this... or not, depending on how conscious you are. Either way if you have been lead to this book, I suggest there is no such thing as coincidence, just get it. As with everything, you have to decide for yourself, but if my recommendation helps you decide, then I hope you enjoy reading this as much as I did.

and it's as good as the first
Bought this sequel, after reading James Redfield's first book Celestine Vision, and it's as good as the first. Combines thrilling adventures, with meeting of Significant people along the way in a brilliant plot. It is also a journey of self awareness, understanding of events that happen to us, and questions the past and present. Makes you want to enhance the life you have to discover your own self purpose and destiny. Brilliant book- must read

Another gripping read from james Redfield
This is possibly my favourite of all the Celestine Series. There is a real evocation of the Numinous, and a real vision of What Could Be if only we let go of all our expectations and dare to believe the best for mankind.I thoroughly recommend it.

Insight, Insight, in sight
This series of books hopes to show you that there are insights into our lives that once opened will change the way we view our lives and those around us. If more people could open these insights, then perhaps the world would be a better place.

Magical!
I hadn't been as excited over the tenth insight as I had expected, but the 11th Insight made up for that. I don't deny it is a little surreal, but if you're into angels, spirit guides and the synchronicity explained in previous 'Insights', then you'll get this.
