It’s a UK publishing company
So got very confused by the overseas purchasers downgrading this book due to it being based on the UK currency and rules when it’s a UK book. But for anyone reading, we have £’s not $’sUsborne Books is a British based company that sells to the US. But is not written for the US market.

Suitable for about 14 plus
The layout of this book is attractive and there are a broad range of money matters covered, including possibly more sensitive subjects like debt, HP and gambling. I think it has been done well. This book gives a great general overview about all kinds of money matters that a person may face as they transition into adult life.

Excellent book about essential life skill
Wow. This was one of the best Teen/YA information books on the market. Highly recommend. Especially good for engaging young people with economics in general.

Very recommend
I buy a lot of different kinds of reference books from this publisher. With the colourful pictures make each topic of paragraph very easy understand. My kids love them so much, and so fun to read.

Great resource if you are in England
I was seeking a good financial literacy resource to give to teens for an event. I thought I had found my book. This book is written in small, bite-sized bits that I believe a busy teen could easily digest. It covers everything from crypto-currency to taxes to first jobs to money basics. It's a strong resource. . . except that it uses pounds instead of dollars, contains English spelling on some words (Ex: cheques), and has some references to rules that might be different in the U.S. (Ex: limits for contactless payment). It might be confusing for some readers and isn't a fit for my purpose.Usborne, please make an American version of this book so that I can buy it by the case!!!

This product references pounds, not dollars
So, I just assumed that since Usborne is an American company that the book would reference dollars. Not so. It refers to British pounds?!?! I bought this book for my son, so explaining that he should ignore the thing that looks like an L and assume it's a dollar sign instead is distracting. Other than that, it's a good book, in that it describes basic financial principles.
