Assassination Classroom Complete Box Set

I bought this for my daughter for Christmas. This was on her list of things that she wanted. I think it’s well worth the cost for the amount of books that you get. It’s the complete series and I think it’s worth the price that you pay. My daughter is very happy with her gift. I would definitely buy again if I had to.

I have been wanting to get my hands on this boxset for ages, but unable to bc I already owned some of the volumes individually. HOWEVER, I (after deciding I'd trade in the ones I have for money back) finally bit the bullet and bought it at 43% off, and I'm in love with it!! the box is sturdy cardboard and has velcro to close the lid with a handle for easy moving! the artbook is gorgeous and the double sided poster is cool too!! Overall, if you're a fan of this series, this is so worth it!!

I had no idea what I was getting into when I picked up this series. I had just finished another series, and wanted another somewhat long manga series to read and this was on sale. I assumed by the title that it would be very bloody and violent...I was wrong. While there is blood occassially, it's about as threating as a paintball game. The story is about a monster who tells the government that he will destroy the world in one year if he isn't killed by then. He can only be killed with special bullets and knifes which don't hurt normal people (think rubber knifes and plastic pellets). He tells the government his only demand is that he teaches a very specific class for one year, and there job is to assassinate him. The kids will come up with plans to kill him, and will get better and better at becoming assassins, but also become better students in the long run. The whole series takes place over one year, and there are very little filler chapters. For the most part every chapter is moving the story forward, or introducing a character or motivation. If you are looking for series, that is more about the underdog learning to fight back and win, you might enjoy this.

I recently grabbed the Assassination Classroom box set, and it’s been one of the most satisfying manga purchases I’ve made. Having all 21 volumes in one package feels great — it’s perfect for binge reading or displaying on a shelf.

All I know is that my kid was all smiles when she got it.

To note, I got this while it was on sale. If possible, I highly suggest looking for discounts prior to buying a box set like this, especially if you are a parent trying to get your anime loving kid a nice present. This came brand new, still wrapped in plastic. All of the books look beautiful, and the collection itself is wonderful on the bookshelf. It comes with a small poster that has the school roster on the back side. It also comes with a small art book, though I am unclear if the art book was made alongside the manga or after the anime came out. For the manga itself (if you are a fan of the anime), I have some mediocre news for you. The manga adds almost no new content (as far as I've been able to read), and actually misses a few small things. Most of the stuff missed are one-liners that are in the anime, such as when Koro Sensei makes a sand castle, in the anime a student comments on it being a specific model of a castle in japan, but the manga just says "sand castle" and leaves it at that. If you are a big fan of the anime, I'm sure you'll notice these small absences.

This box set contains all the volumes of Assassination Classroom. It was definitely worth the purchase for me—I never once got bored while reading it. In fact, I only wished the story continued beyond Volume 21. Koro-sensei and Class 3-E really sank their teeth into their year-long mission to assassinate their teacher and save the Earth. Koro-sensei's open-mindedness and the way he guided his students—though sometimes a bit overprotective and overly meticulous—left a lasting impression on me. And don’t worry, there are plenty of humorous scenes, too!

Great mint condition! Cant wait to experience the story once again - this time in manga

Ok so this is less of a review about the item and more a review about what the item should have been. Nothing against the seller, they were very helpful when this went missing in the post. This set comes with a shiny new box cover protector and an exclusive item, a yearbook if I remember right. I loved this anime and I so wanted to see how the manga compares. More often than not the manga is better hands down, but occasionally there are some anime that copy the manga almost word for word, and rarely you get an anime that's outright better. I'm going to guess that the manga's better on this one, but sadly I don't know for certain. This was going to sit on my shelf next to my Ouran Highschool Host Club box set, both of which would have fit on a standard shelf with some room to spare (for those wondering how much space it would have taken up this is 21 books plus the year book and Ouran is 18 plus a notepad). I really want to order this again but I also don't want to put the seller out of any more money and this seller was the cheapest. Going by Ouran, I'd say go for the box set over the individual mangas. Yes it's a fair amount of money but it would be more to buy them individually and they wouldn't have been brand new or have anything extra. Maybe this will still come in, and if so then I'll have to message the seller about repaying for it, but I'm pretty sure it's lost to the world. Pity really, the story line alone would have made it amazing.
