Sports Lessons for Life 💜
I am an avid reader, a secondary school math teacher, and a sports fan. First, I covered the book old school style by making a book cover from a paper bag. Then, I jumped in.The book is the first in a series, and we are being introduced to the characters by living training camp from each players point of view. I love the lessons about perspective, compassion for one another, and judgement. We all make judgements about one another based on what we see. We don’t always know where that person is coming from; their history, motivation, hurts, fears, etc.I’ve given the book to a friend who coaches at my school and will give this book as a gift to friends and family for the holidays. Just remember, if now is not the time for you to read the book, it’s ok. It took me 3 years and numerous starts to read The Shack. But, when I finally got through the first chapter, I enjoyed the book.Training Camp I read in 4 days over spring break. It was an easy read and I loved the characters. I can’t wait for the next book in the series.

I bought this for Kobe
I have two sons. One plays basketball and the other plays tennis. We've been reading the books a little but they don't seem very interested. I'll keep trying. The books are very well made and have excellent craftsmanship. Like something I would expect from a collectors edition of Harry Potter.I miss Kobe. His dedication to his craft was second to none. I've taken the family to his grave and love the view of the ocean and Harbor Day School.

Wonderful Lessons and Storytelling
I laughed and felt the emotion of the various situations and journeys these ten young men were going thru. Great book for a father of four, coach and entrepreneur. I can’t wait to share with each of our children as they come of age. Bravo Black Mamba and Wesley King! We can’t wait for the next series!

Great book for a specific group of kids
This is a great read for (but not limited to) students who love sports and are not into reading. Great sports language to gain the interest of such a population, followed by a good progression of literature to engage the mind. Plus, Kobe helped write it, so that is amazingly high basketball IQ right there!

Your Young Reader Needs This Book!
This book is beautiful! The cover is bright an has the texture of a brand new basket ball. It is a very thick book, but it has 5 POVs retellingtheir individual experience that read like their own short stories.Themes: You can overcome fear; You are not alone.Your young readers will love this story. If Kobe were still alive I imagine this could have been a 3 or 5 book series.Trigger Warnings:PovertyYouth Processing Loss of ParentsAbsent ParentLonelinessSelf HarmParental Pressure

Alright so let me break it down…
Imagine the movie Coach Carter. But instead of Samuel L. Jackson, the coach is essentially Phil Jackson and he knows magic! Coach Rolabi Wizenard uses grana to teach the West Bottom Badgers to face their deepest darkest fears (and shows them how to use those techniques in both life and basketball). 567 pages and I still wanted more. Thankfully there is a part 2 which I’m reading now. Buy the series!

Exquisite Book
This is one of the best books I've read. I'm a 4th-6th grade basketball coach. I relate to this book so well I wish I was professor wizenard! Kobe did an out of this world job telling this story, the author writes well. Very descriptive and entertaining. I read once but will read again for sure. My 11yr old son loves it as well. I coach him and he won't listen to me but hears professor loud and clear through text on a page. BUY NOW! Not to mention the weight and texture of the cover and pages, really great work Kobe!

Great 2nd series book - good for young readers!
This was a gift for my grandson, along with series one. He is currently reading the first book, but is very interested and looking forward to this one as well. He especially likes that Kobe Bryant was an author on it as he is a huge fan. He said he will treasure it always.
