Takes some trial and error but for the price it’s worth it
David’s Bridal sells a belt that looks exactly like this with ribbons sewn to the ends to secure it around the waist. Their price was over $50 so this was a great dupe! I perfered to sew a hook and eye closure to then ends rather than ribbons. I did try to iron it on to a single ribbon but I made it too big and I didn’t like that the ribbon I chose showed behind the appliqué so I just gently peeled it off, so I don’t know how well it would stay adhered if I wanted to keep it ironed on. When trimming it down to size the jewels at the ends will come loose so I just secured them with a needle and thread. The jewels also snag on the lace of my dress but it doesn’t seem to do too much damage, and if you’re not wearing lace this shouldn’t be much of a problem.

I cant begin to explain how much I loved this. I used it as a sash for my wedding gown. Everywhere I went they were asking for 250 + but a little diy on this and it blew me away. Very high quality, and it even came with 3 sets of different colored ribbon. MUST BUY!

I refused to pay hundreds for bridal belts from a boutique... Seriously this was so perfect, I did trim up some of the excess backing along the edges before sewing it on to the satin sash that came with the kit. Couldn’t be more please with this beautiful belt!
