Excellent charger from the Hoover Store, safety first!
Having bought cheap chargers both here and on auction sites,I feared for their quality and safety after seeing the many horror stories of fires and electrical shocks. I spotted this genuine item from the Hoover store , at a discounted price to other listings, for a few pounds more than a non genuine knock-off charger. The box is labelled hoover, and original item number is listed, the item itself is a quality made Chinese charger identical to the original supplied with the Hoover. My old one had started putting out a variable voltage and failed to charge. This one worked straight out of the box. Would recommend anyone buys original if they can for safety sake. Lithium batteries DO NOT forgive bad charging.

Not the official charger as shown in the photo
I'll start by saying this charger works okay. That was the good news.I decided to buy this one because the photo is identical to the official charger and I would rather pay a little bit more to get the official one. You can imagine how disappointed I was when it arrived. It doesn't look like the official one and the labelling is completely different. I'm not impressed with this seller because they have blatantly mislead Amazon customers.I'm giving it 4 stars because it works okay. I've subtracted 1 star because of dishonesty. If this charger stops working I'll come back to update this review.

Bought for my vac as lost the original charger, from what I could find out it takes around five hours to get a full charge. However two days later on charge my vac didn’t even turn on. I’ve just returned this charger back to the seller and had to pay over ten pounds to send it back! I’ve since bought the same charger from another seller and my vac is fully charged with no issues, so I can only guess that the one I received from here is faulty. Must say I’m quite unimpressed with the cost to send it back. Will update this for a better rating if I get my money back plus the extra charges.

Replacement cheaper than buying from Hoover.
Cats chewed through the last one and even with trying to connect the wires back up it didn't work. This works perfectly and has been charging fine for the last few months. It's also cheaper than buying it from the Hoover website.
