Very fun mechanical building set for kids starting to play with robotics or beginning engineering. It's simple and easy enough for a 7-year-old to build, with a bit of adult help. Build quality seemed good, though we're not sure how durable it will be. Good value for the small set, mostly due to the fun from playing than the quick build. My son has another kit from the same line, and we've become fans of these toys.

We got this robot for our 5 year old son. When it arrived we found that one of the main power leads was pulled away from the solder joint. No biggy I figured, I'll fix it myself later. Well later turned into quite a bit later, and I never fixed it . I ended up contacting the US distributor of the robot and asked if I could just buy the broken piece (was my fault I didn't take care of it right away). They not only helped me out, but they did it right away and did not charge me at all.. My 5 1/2 year old put this together with no issues. I helped put pressure on the screwdriver for the Philips screws, but other than that he did it all himself.......And this thing is fun to watch! I totally looks likes it's going to fall right off the table, but turns at the last second.

Easy for my 7 yo grandson to assemble with minimal prompting from grandpa. Works as promised ., moves across flat smooth surface, avoids falling off the table..if all the parts are properly seated. Amusing.

This little robot is a testament to smart analog and mechanical engineering in that it is very good at detecting edges, getting itself unstuck and rerouting. It was easy to assemble with my 8-year-old son with the only challenge being the battery connection terminal where he would not have been able to do that without help. It is constructed with lightweight plastic, but in such a way that it has already withstood some fairly rough play without any components breaking. When the claws or legs come off, you just pop them back on. We've had a lot of fun inventing games like seeing which plastic dinosaurs it clears from the table first.

Our grandson thought this was great! It even helped him to decide he loves robotics.

It is a purely mechanical robot. There are no sensors of any kind - just a roller-wheel that is activated when the robot moves partially off the table, causing it to turn. The antenna is purely for effect. The manufacturer recommends taking the battery out when not in use (does not come with the battery!), but that is a major hassle, requiring some tough unscrewing and screwing. My strong 9-and-half-year-old boy could not screw this together. Nor did he have the dexterity to get the other parts in place. I had to mount it for him. Moreover, the visual layout of the mounting instructions is terrible and confusing. Very poorly designed mounting instructions. For instance, the graphic for the first steps is located in a very unexpected place, causing me to miss the steps and have to start all over once I thought I had finished. Other than that, it is a very simple object, pleasant to watch but not much better than wind-up toy and with very minor educational impact, I suspect.

A very basic and simple crab robot project and good introduction to robotic construction for younger children. There are some fine motor skills required to screw in some components so for those on the younger side of this toys age range some parental help might be needed which is a good bonding opportunity for parents. Once completed the robot runs around the table top and turns when it reaches an edge. Always nice to be able to combine education and fun when you can and this product does that well.

Liked the toy , its easy to assemble and kids love it to see moving around the table by itself dodging the edges, some times it falls down if the edges come in a crossed way...which we should be mindful about ..... the parts are of good quality and will with stand multiple falls.....worth a try.

My grandson really liked this product. He is 12 but with his dads help he put it together easily. It doesn't come with a battery but since I had lots it didn't matter. It works as described and really can detect edges and turn itself around. Kind of a novelty toy for my grandson and he was proud that he could assemble it. Doesn't work great on a ceramic tile floor though because there are edges everywhere.

Compré este juguete para mi sobrina. Los materiales son de buena calidad, el ensamble es sencillo y funciona perfectamente. Su función principal es evitar los obstáculos. Funciona perfecto para lo que es, un juguete.

Got it for my grandson for his 3rd birthday. I put it together for him so he'd only need to throw the switch. It was a big hit! It was easy to assemble and fun to watch as it refused to fall of the table. He kept trying to grab it before it fell and he was astonished when it simply turned away from the edges.

Es muy buena actividad para armar en familia, lo único que no me gusta es que el juguete es chico y se aburren rápido los niños. Poco interactivo.
