This is a frozen product, but it ships in a regular padded envelope with no ice packs. Make sure you check it for mold. My first batch had mold spots, but the seller quickly resent the package again and it was free of mold. I made sure to refrigerate as soon as I received it. It's a great product and was perfect to make the viral Dubai chocolate bars!

I was really excited to try this product, but unfortunately, it turned out to be a huge disappointment. After I purchased it, I came across reviews mentioning mold, which made me nervous. However, when the dough arrived, I inspected it carefully and didn't see any visible signs of mold, though it did have an odd smell. I tried to give it the benefit of the doubt, thinking it might just be part of the food's unique scent due to its cultural origin.I made a couple of bars and stored the dough in a zip lock bag, ensuring I removed all the air to keep it fresh. But today, when I went to make another bar, I discovered green mold inside the dough—right in the middle! The worst part is that I had already used the dough multiple times and even served it to others. Now, I can’t even get a refund because I didn’t find the mold in time. This is not only disappointing, but it’s also unsafe and unsanitary. I will never purchase this again, and I strongly urge others to be cautious before buying.

I have seen lots of a negative comments when I received mine. It was wonderful. It was perfect. I still have them and I’m gonna order again with fresh .

It was not fresh, there was some mold and what looked like dead bugs in it.

I knew this was a fresh item and it shipped next day. I noticed all the negative reviews but this is an outstanding product, I wouldn’t order it in the heat of the summer but I’m happy to have it in the cool temps. I’m using it for Dubai cookies and I toasted it in a pan with butter…. I added homemade pistachio cream and it is so authentic and yummy, thanks to this product!!! Happy baking

If I could return this I would, packaging came with moisture inside I didn’t even need to open it the katafi looked wet and gummy and this isn’t eligible for returns I wonder why !
