The Kreg Adaptive Cutting System Plunge Saw is designed to only ride directly on the Kreg Adaptive Cutting System 62" Guide Track.

Is the riving knife removeable?

I am sorry to say the riving knife in not removable on the Kreg ACS Plunge Saw.

Can this saw be used without the track, just using a straight edge?

Hello, The Plunge Saw is designed to be used with the Adaptive Cutting System 62" Guide Track. While it is possible to cut without the track, Kreg recommends always using the saw and track together for all cuts. Thank You, Billy H
