Excellent product, dries well, smells good!
I was not expecting this wood filler to have a pleasant smell, slightly sweet and minty, but it does, and that’s a nice bonus. It mixes easily, works just fine with water, dries pretty fast, seems pretty stable. I’m mostly using it under veneer, in deep gouges, and to fill hardware holes, so I won’t comment on stain-ability or how shellac looks over it. Walnut matches old Singer sewing machine cabinets pretty well.I would suggest grabbing a cheap set of measuring spoons to dedicate to wood filler, and if you don’t already have a digital scale and disposable cups in your shop, you might want to add those to this order. You don’t need anything fancy, just accurate. As for clean up, it wipes off of tools while wet, and if it dries on the tool, you can either flake it off or wash it off the same or the next day.The best part? You mix what you need, you aren’t stuck with a tube that’s going to be dried out the next time you need it.

It Worked Well for Me
So, I mixed this into a thick pancake batter consistency and worked the rosewood colored filler into the grain of a swamp ash body for a guitar, with my gloved hands. You don't have to be too careful about scraping it, although I did use a plastic card to squeegee some of it off, because it dries into an easily sanded consistency after it dries. I imagine a harder mixture like epoxy would be a different story. It worked well and looked good. You have to be careful when applying finishes over it because it isn't super hard, so I put I a few gentle coats of shellac over it after I sanded it off the flat areas to lock it in. It has a pleasant odor and is easy to work with. It is my first time using grain/pore filler, but I found it worked well for me. I will also add that the fact it is in a resealable pouch in powder form means it won't dry out and go bad, and can probably be used again years later. A defininte plus.

A Very Good Product!
I found this very easy to use and it worked great. The smell was not offending like many other grain fillers. It actually smelled a lot like Petually oil. My only issue with this, and why I didn't give it a 5 star rating, was because the color was not what was advertised. Instead of it being a dark cherry red, or similar to the color strip on the bag, it was more of a chocolate brown color. Which was a little disappointing since I used it to fill the grain on a Les Paul that is going to have a cherry red back. It still worked out good since the wood was mahogany and it matched up very good with it. But I was hoping for a dark cherry red grain. I would still buy it again if needed and wouldn't hesitate to recommend it to someone.

Works well - GREAT EVEN
Is easy to mix and use and easy to finish. I definitely prefer it to the plastic based fillers.UPDATE: I now really love this stuff. I used it when replacing red oak stairs. The treads are finished and clear coated. Now I had to use some small trim screws to tighten up some lose joints. Used this stuff to fill in and cover the trim screw hole, waited overnight and used a damp paper towel to 'sand' down the filler. This avoided having to sand on the already finished part of the wood. Once dry from 'wet sanding' just dabbed on a little spar varnish and voile - perfect.

My Go-to Product for Wood Filler
I absolutely love this stuff. For me, it's logical because I don't have to be concerned that moist content will dry out before it gets used. I do not worry about it freezing or being too hot. I can tint it with any pigment so that matches the wood of my project. I love this stuff & highly recommend it to refinishers. Oh, it will last quite some time if I mix too much. I keep mine in a glass jar and it's good even for several weeks with a cover.

Works better than pre-mixed
I had to replace a lot of rotten wood on a 140 year old small home. This works better than the other brand name, pre-made wood fillers. You can make it the consistency you want for easy pouring or make it thick. It does take longer to dry but dries like concrete. I bought white and tint if its for areas that need to be stained but white works great for white painted areas.

Great product, Abysmal customer service
Shipping:Received a notice from the post office that I needed to pay for shipping, I had to pay an additional $27.20 for shipping because the company negligently used a regular box with a flat rate box post. When j reached out they said theyve" never had a problem in the past" seems like a common practice on reviews. I messaged the company and they gave me the run around and apologized saying they'd fix it, for three weeks. Each time saying they'd get it resolved then at last saying they thought Amazon was handling it and they could only give me 50% refund which didn't cover the additional shipping. Poor attempt to assuage my inconvenience of paying more. I'm fine with paying for shipping, don't tell spring it on me after the fact and act like it was just a mistake. Take ownership for you mess up and make it right. I wouldn't usually go at length to get a few bucks back, but their dismissive attitude toward the issue bothered me.Product:I Used ebony filler on a pine floor for a worn old look. Filler was easy to mix, thickened it with sawdust, spread easily and sanded well. Good clean look and easy to use.

Real easy to prepare and use.
I used this to fill the pores of a project made of red oak, which is very open grained. Mixing it was really easy. I started with a real thick consistency, like wood patch. However, I wanted it spreadable so I merely added more water until it felt the right viscosity. It spread on like a charm and stayed put, no dripping. It dried pretty fast andI was able to scrape off any high spots before it went completely hard and sandable. I did let it dry overnight only because I was at end of day in the shop. Next day was the despicable sanding chore. I do have a lesson learned to share: do your filling before assembly, i.e. on the parts before they are glued together. It will make you sanding headache much more bearable.

Works well, some shrinkage
This product works great, has a pleasant smell and is generally very easy to work with. I have tried adding paint to dye it which turned out great. My only issues with the product are that it is very soft, even after applying a top coat, and that it does shrink meaning 2 or 3 coats can be nessicary even in small voids.
