Mary Washington 25 Live Asparagus Bare Root Plants -2yr-Crowns from Hand Picked Nursery

Just received my asparagus roots today.I was a bit apprehensive at buying something like this from Amazon. I was concerned about the roots becoming dried out from the warehouse storage. In this case, it looks like it WAS from a nursery!The packaging was good. And, the roots looked good. Some of them already had sprouts!They look healthy. Not dead. In fact, they are large, so the 2nd yr old seems perfect. I should be getting some sprouts in a month.There was also instructions included along with a bag of “secret sauce” to be mixed in the water that the roots will temporarily be placed.So far, so good……….I loved everything about this purchase.I’ll report back ( now Aor 7, 2024) with the results of how they did afterwards….. sprouting, I am speaking of.

these roots are so healthy, they started to grow asparagas shoots in the shipping box before I had a chance to plant them, once planted, they are already growing and am looking forward to buying some more next spring, I planted them in a large tractor tire laid on heavy plastic to keep quack grass from growing and killing the roots., Highly recommend this company for this product A+A+A+

When the asparagus arrived it was squishy and falling apart when I picked up to plant. I was very disappointed. I have planted it in trenches and waiting to see if it sends up shoots hoping it does so I can continue with filling of the trench. It was also very small crowns, suppose to be 2 year roots but doesn't look like it. Maybe I'll be pleasantly surprised but I have my doubts.

Shipped quickly and pkgd well.... can't vouch for the taste until after 3 years or so!! Great seller.

These roots are top quality, this was a very impressive purchase, compared to most online plant orders.Live mostly large roots, I know the emphasis on live sounds funny, but a lot of sellers will stick you with their dead products tell you to plant it. Not so here, no complaints, no regrets, I am considering an additional order. I would like to thank the seller for their high quality asparagus roots.
