I would agree with other reviewers in that these seem to be a pretty standard item for attaching surface mount boat parts. I pulled off my blower vent covers and to my dismay, damaged one of these. I thought I would never find this specific part for my 2001 Monterey, but low and behold, here it is on Amazon. Direct replacement and easy to find.

They're well-made BUT they are rock hard. Being that rigid they have an inherent habit of shattering under pressure

It was exactly what I was looking for have a boat that is 24 years old the cushions have those fasteners and most of them where broken this was the only place found them at they hold the cushions in place and prevents them from flying off while moving

I used these to fasten the upgraded upholstery in my runabout boat. The plywood backing under the upholstery had degraded so I used the old ones for a template, recovered them with the vinyl and padding and used the clips to reattach everything to the boat. Worked perfectly! Once the assembly was fastened to the boat, it was on there for good!

These worked perfectly for what I needed, although there is possibly a technique to getting them installed that I don't know because it was not enjoyable. One thing's for sure they are not coming out easily.
