Very happy with this decanter. It's lead free crystal and was short enough (under 9.5 inches including topper) to fit in my cabinet. Topper fits securely enough for me and I really like the narrow neck and low center of gravity. You could accidently knock it off of a table but you won't accidently knock it over like you could with a bottle or a taller and skinnier decanter. It's almost as wide as it is tall. It reminds me of a Hershey's Kiss. The shipping packaging was double boxed with bubble wrap in between the boxes so nothing would slide around. The topper was in it's own little box so it wouldn't bounce around and break the decanter. Fast shipping too.

I had purchased a decanter from CRATE & BARREL - love the store, but the decanter sported a very heavy "ball" type stopper that, when placed at the top of the decanter was likely to break it and after 1.5 years did. This decanter has a less heavy stopper that articulates well with the neck of the decanter which is elegant, well balanced, holds an ample amount of wine and - trust me - you won't live long enough to knock this decanter over or off the table. It sits well in the hand and doesn't drip. Highly recommended.

I purchased this decanter from Amazon and it shipped across the Pacific just fine. The stopper has no plastic insert and it is glass on glass contact. Sometimes it feels like the stopper has not seated properly, just give the stopper a slight twist and it will seat. I have tried both brandy and whisky in this decanter and the only evaporation that occurs is when the contents transfer into a glass. Good on you Ravenscroft, a great product and kudos to Amazon for shipping it promptly and safely.

I had to replace my 45 year old decanter (Found The Original Decanter At Amazon UK) but it was too expensive! So I made this purchase 3 months ago, and I Must Say, It Is Incredible! What a Beautiful Piece of Art! Thank You! My Brandy Never Looked So Good!

Love this decanter. I use is strictly for wine and it has plenty of room for a full bottle of wine. It's super easy to clean too, especially if you have a bottle brush. Design is very pretty and it aerates the wine nicely to get it ready to enjoy! Highly recommended.

I purchased this as a gift and was very happy with the appearance and quality of the decanter. The recipient also loved it. Makes an excellent accent piece on a shelf when not in use and is attractive when brought to the table for serving.

Looked better in the photo, in my opinion, but overall a nice piece.

Very happy with the product, although the box was packed in a larger box that did not seem to have enough padding, as the product was moving about inside too much for a breakable. Consider more packing material. Otherwise, very pleased with it.
