For years I had one of these on the drain hose from my washer to the standing drain pipe in my laundry. A few years ago I bought a new washer which was delivered and installed while I was at work. The coupling was missing and when I asked about it, no one knew a thing about it. Oh well. I tell that story because I wasn't able to find once of these locally and so I simply have had the hose sticking loose into pipe ever since, which mean I don't really need one. I found this on-line while looking for something else and so I ordered it. It is nice that Amazon has a program where you can bundle low cost items and qualify for free shipping, Without that I wouldn't have bought this. OK, enough of the irrelevant stuff. This makes a very tidy, secured and sealed connection and there is nothing to the installation. I am happy to recommend it for this reason alone. It also pretty much eliminates the possibility of the drain hose inadvertently being pulled out of the pipe and the resultant flooding the next time the laundry is run. After I posting this, I saw the only other reviewer mentioned that his installation was made because his drain did not have a gas trap. I am not a plumber, and so will confess I don't know if there is anything to be concerned about, but I am not sure that this coupler is meant to eliminate the need for a gas trap. If sewer gas is escaping, can't it come right pass the connection and enter the house through the machine?

Great so far! Installed today, simple installation works perfect. Can't imagine any problems with this it seems great. I suspected my washer hose might be too long as new washer kept generating an error. The drain hose fit all the way down the standing pipe to the trap and whenever my kids do laundry...here comes a code. So between them using a bit too much detergent and the hose being close to the trap, this seemed to solve the issue by holding the hose in place further up the pipe and as a plus it also deters odors from the pipe from coming into the room. Perfect so far.

High quality and perfect adapter. Easy to install. No leakage. Used on our 2 1/2” washer drain stand. Our 1 1/2” washer drain line fit perfectly into this adapter. Does not back out of fitting at all, while high pressure drain cycle occurs.

I purchased this Hose Grip Coupling as I didn't have a good way to secure my washing machine drain hose to my drain pipe in the laundry room. The coupler fit perfectly over the 1.5 inch pvc drain in my laundry room, and the 1 inch drain hose from my washing machine fit perfectly into the coupler. I used a shot of WD40 to make the drain hose slide into the coupler easily, which resulted in a nice tight fit. I would recommend this product.

Perfect solution for our washing machine water drain pipe outlet. I feel much better knowing there is a grip system holding the pipe in, yet it has the needed air holes on the sides so it doesn't shoot water back out (you can't have an airtight seal for this type of water outlet). It's a perfect fit! Excellent value. Easy fast install. No leakage.

I couldn't find in any hardware store or big box store. The homeowner performing used duct tape to keep the washing machine discharge line in place. This was a huge upgrade and no longer worried about it falling out

Simple but very effective part to keep your washer hose from coming out of the drain. I used this product on a 1 1/2 inch drain pipe and the standard hose outlet that came with my Kenmore washer. There are no leaks and there is no way the hose is coming out of this thing. The pictures don't show it real well but the inside is tapered to accommodate different outside diameter hoses. The tapered design allows the hose to push through firmly. Once the hose is in its not coming out without a considerable amount of force. I am very happy with this product.

These are just great, would never use anything else for hooking up my washer and dryer. They simply attaché to the top of the drain pipe, securing the washer drain hose really well. If it is a temporary hookup it is so easy to unhook when pulling the washer out, but at the same time there is no bad odour. Worth the time and effort it took to find it.

Good universal connector works well where drain pipe is away from wall so you can't hang a waste pipe from a machine over the traditional "inverted U"
