If, for whatever reason, you can’t affix a guide to the floor, this will work great because they screw into the baseboard.

Good product except received a banged up used product
Update: I updated my rating to a 4 star based on great customer service. The seller indicated Amazon was responsible for the repackaging and resale. They also offered to send us brand new items. The product itself is good. However, I received a used banged up item. It appears the seller just resells used items as new. Very disappointed.

Sizing not as stated
The product listing said that it goes up to 2 1/4” on inside dimensions. However the item I receive only went up to 1 7/16” on the inside dimensions. Extremity disappointed that it doesn’t work.
