Easy to connect. Accurate.
This works very well and stays attached to the chest without sliding. The read out is steady without the fluctuations seen with some chest belts. I use it with my Concept 2 rowing machine. Recommended.

Before I was using a arm band heart monitor but it was a different make and it wasn't accurate so I bought this one. The Garmin heart rate goes around my chest and it collects the data perfectly what it says. Fantastic kit

Good quality
As with all Garmin products, nothing lasts forever and these are just the same.Still have the occasional issue but i like the BLE connection to allow me to connect with my computer when using Zwift or Garmins own riding program.Nice that they finally provide a screwdriver in the pack, thats a really nice touch.

Works very well
Took a bit of fiddling to get it connected to my android but once the connection was established the first time, it now works like a charm. Also, my very old Android phone is rather temperamental with Bluetooth devices now, but this heart rate monitor still manages to work well. As an example, I use Strava for my multi hour mountain trips. During which, I may pause recording. If later in when I restart it I find the connection was lost (almost certainly issue on my phone side), it is a matter of switching Bluetooth off and on on my phone and that's it. My previous HR monitor wasn't as quick in re-establishing connection.Recommended.

Comfortable fit and accurate results
Feel I get more consistent results with this over watch sensors. It's a good comfortable fit and you wouldn't even know it was there.Pairs well with my Garmin bike computer

It's utter junk
Unlike a 25 year old polar, this just doesn't work reliably. Avoid. I feel I have been totally ripped off by Garmin. Using with a vivoactive 3. Connects fine, works when walking round the house. Go to do exercise and sometimes works sometimes doesn't , or works for half a session and then stops.Wish I hadn't bought a Garmin.

I have wanted a heart rate monitor for a long time
I have always thought about a heart rate monitor, even though I have a Garmin vivoactive V watch, so I finally got around to buying this one.It was so very easy to pair with my Garmin watch, and once its paired whenever you put the strap back on, it pairs straight away between the strap and the watch.I found it easy to wet, place and tighten the strap onto the bottom bit of your chest, and it stays in place, ands you don't realise you have it on. I only received the strap last week but I have done one parkrun and two other 5k runs, the heart rate data is then downloaded from my strap, to my watch, to my phone via Garmin connect and then to Strava. The data seems on par with what I would of expected, and differs a little bit but not excessive from my Garmin Vivoactive 5.I am certainly going to continue wearing this monitor, as I was a little worried that my heart rate may be getting too high when running and causing me to stop on a few runs over the past year. For the money and peace of mind this strap does the job sufficently well,.
