Kaizer Plastic Trombone 1000 Series Polymer Black with Case & Accessories PLY-TBNE-1000BK

I purchased this trombone to see if I could overcome several years of non-playing. I had doubts a F attachment trombone could be any good at that price, but considering the price of a metal trombone, I thought it was worth the gamble. I have been very pleasantly surprised. I rinsed out the horn, oiled the F valve, cleaned inside the slide with a slide cleaning rod, and added a little slide oil. It plays and sounds similar to any trombone and is light enough for any grade-school student. . The plastic construction reduces concerns about dings and dents. To me it is an excellent choice for parents who wish to see if a child is serious about playing before investing in an expensive instrument, or for anyone who wants a fun and care-free trombone.

Interesting. Took a while but with concentration tone cleared up. Slide works best without creams or oils, wash, wipe off the inner slide, rinse and clean outer slide and it works smoothly. Slide is a bit noisy but nothing major. F trigger is ok but a bit “clanky” had to clean it once when some kind of debris jammed it. Simply flushing with water cleared it up. This is a fun practice horn, would be great for marching band.. don’t leave it in direct sunlight.. color will fade.. so the manufacturers warns.

The trigger mechanism is absolutely atrocious (catches debris easily and is not very fast) and the slide is extremely resistant and noisy you're better off getting a pbone that has metal stockings. Aside from the usual downfalls that come with a plastic horn I was a bit surprised with the extremely light weight and portability of it. If you're looking for a fun toy trombone this is a decent ( pricey ) buy that you can get a few kicks out of. Tone quality- 7/10( better with an actual mouthpiece ) slide- 4/10 valve-3/10.
