Q: What is the expiration date on the product being sold?

All spices should be stored in the cool dark glass bottle (preferably) with air tight seal in the dark and not on the kitchen table top or exposed generously to light or sun. Turmeric powder has several hundred volatile fatty acids which gives its aroma, overtime they and Turmeric oil will evaporate. It must be kept in dry climate and not in the refrigerator. Moisture will ruin it. Good Turmeric powder has about 24 Curcuminoids which have medicinal effect- they all will degrade. If you preserve in proper way - there is no expiration date - however, overtime ALL spices will become like saw dust. Best advice - buy new one every year and keep it small bottles and don't expose all of your stock at one time. Rani Brand Turmeric I think comes from Erode and has highest amount of Curcumin of all other Madras/ Allepy/ Krishna/ varieties. Sona variety developed in Kerala has phenomenal 12% Curcumin- but I have not seen that available commercially.

Q: Is there sawdust in this?

Not in my container as far as I can tell. I'm pretty sure I'd recognize sawdust if it was presnt.
