good bagel
I used to LOVE bagels before I went gluten free and this one is OK but not like the regular bagels I used to enjoy. I eat it and it is good but not a favorite of mine anymore. However, this brand (Udi's) is wonderful!! Everything I have had I have eaten and enjoyed (and not had to throw out!!)..

Best Gluten free bagels!
Udi's does it again with another great tasting product for celiac patients! Highly recommend these for bagel lovers who thought they had to give them up!

A round piece of bread but definitely not a bagel
The folks at Udi's are delusional if they think they can take their successful recipe for white bread and just shape the dough into a circle with a hole and call it a bagel. A bagel has density and a certain mouth feel when you bite into it that these gluten free bagels sorely lack. They are more like a piece of round white bread. They taste ok, but they are too light and fluffy to be a bagel. They also toast very unevenly. I gave Udi's two stars - one star because the bagels taste ok and the other star because they got the shape right. Glutino, Udi's sister company, had a gluten-free frozen bagel with the right mouth feel and density. Unfortunately, they just recently stopped making bagels, which is a shame.

Three Stars
Not a bagel. Bread in the shape of a bagel. But as bread it's alright.

Tastes good, too high in carbs
I have no problem with the taste of these bagels. I think they're fine and they toast up nice and crunchy. I actually enjoy eating them, especially when I crave a breakfast treat or a good old sandwich. But what I do have an issue with are the ingredients. They are alarmingly high in carbs and are of a high glycemic index. They contain a lot of additives and too much sugar in the form of molasses and corn syrup. And they are devoid of significant nutritional value. So if your problem is strictly confined to a gluten intolerance, they're fine. But if you are also dealing with blood glucose issues and/or weight concerns then you should skip Udi's bagels.

Not good.
It's edible, but the taste is way off. Tastes more like a dense dinner roll than a bagel. Leaves a lot to be desired.

Great for sandwiches but no-way is this a bagel
I'm giving this three stars only because it's gluten free and tastes OK but this doesn't come close to a real New York City bagel.Maybe we're spoiled because for years we lived within three blocks of two bagel stores that boiled and baked their own bagels throughout the day (both places you could watch the bakers at work right behind the counters), and less than two miles away we have Zabar's and H&H Bagels.Bagels are supposed to have a crusty exterior with a soft, not spongy interior. The color should be uniform throughout - inside and outside - with texture being the only variance. This is more like a bread-roll shaped to look like a bagel. Brown on the outside, white on the inside. They're not bad as far as a roll goes and would pair well as part of an egg-and-cheese sandwich, but to call this a bagel is a disservice. For being gluten-free I applaud them, but I would love it if they worked on getting it right.

I was craving a bagel and saw Udi's had great reviews so I bought a pack
In the past, I tried a few different kinds of GF "bread" and found them repulsive in taste and texture so I gave up bread.I was craving a bagel and saw Udi's had great reviews so I bought a pack. Very pricy in Canada, 6.85$ for a pack of 4!I got home, popped one in the toaster and put some cream cheese on and was pleasantly surprised. Definitely a bread like texture and taste! I can't say it's a match to the real thing but with peanut butter, cream cheese etc they are very tasty! They are obviously not the healthiest for you like most processed/packaged GF foods but great for now and then!
