Allied Moulded SB=CB Sliderbox Adjustable Box

I went through four electrical boxes before finding this one. This was the only old work box that could hold the weight of my wall light, and actually felt sturdy once it was installed. The slider adjusted the screws to the position needed to screw it into the stud. Unfortunately, I purchased a ceiling fan one that had extra screws and nuts that stuck out beyond the box, and I didn’t realize they would be a problem until I saw them sticking out of the wall. That one didn’t have a slider, so it was difficult getting it installed. It was the same brand as this one, and the quality was good, it just wasn’t right for my application. I’ll spare you the story of the frustration with the other three boxes that didn’t work. I’m just glad I finally found this one. One less stress for the bathroom remodel.

Bought this for a project in garage. All i had to do was drill the holes and run the wire in the attic. Finished the job underneath off a ladder. Just stuck the wires through the box and placed it through the hole and ran the screws in. May the job so easy

These boxes are great for renovations and additions. Shame the local big box stores don't carry them.
