what size air compressor do i need to get?

125 - 150 psi works well. Porter Cable has a "pancake" compressor for around $150.00 that does the trick. This kit works GREAT! I have used it on everything from semi tractors to cars with the same results. Watch out for some Ford headlights they seem to have some type of film on them, which makes it difficult.

Just to confirm, the air tools are 3M 28353 and 3M 28354 Thank you.

The kit says it contains a random orbital buffer part # 28353 and sander part # 28354, but I cannot find a part number on either unit. It only says, made in Taiwan to 3M specification. And the kit works great.

no way will a portable 12 volt compressor be large enough....you will need a minimum 3 hp 120/240 volt compressor........
