I bought this after my driver was broken by the airline -- even though I had wooden dowels in the bag. The wooden dowel snapped in half and my driver broke. I have used the Bag Boy on four trips and nothing is broken! Simple button to expand and collapse height of pole. Seems very sturdy and not too heavy. Tip: I place my driver and fairway wood in the slots adjacent to the Bag Boy pole and then put a small bungee cord around the clubs with the pole in the center to ensure they are protected by the Bag Boy support. The protected plastic cap will not cover your entire bag (which you would not want as it would be too big) but is enough to protect your long clubs.

Effective but top could be larger
Durable and well made. Easy to operate but the top portion should be larger to provide more protection. Not sure why they made it so small.

Super easy to use and did its job. Mailed it to the family vacation home so I could fly home my father in laws clubs that were being gifted to me. Removed from box, extended and dropped in the bag. All my clubs arrived at baggage claim in one piece.

Work great for traveling with a soft sided bag
I bought this for a golf trip to protect my clubs when using a soft sided travel bag. This thing is solid and totally put my mind at ease around the concern of snapped shafts when traveling. It collapses down to a really small size when not in use and the adjustable settings make it easy to configure it to the right size for your travel bag. Well worth the money to have peace of mind that you're not going to arrive on a golf trip without a driver.
