I just received this set of findings and am very pleased with it. It is very basic, but beginners need basics to get started. The findings are nickel free. I do not know how long they will hold up with wearing the item against the skin, but it is probably about the same as any cheap jewelry. That being said, you wouldn't want to make your learning mistakes on the good stuff. These findings are for your learning curve and your pocketbook. So, to me, it was a very good deal. Even piecing this out at wally world would have been considerably more at 1.50 or 2.00 per package. And there a few things that beginners don't even know they need yet like the eye and head pins.All things considered, this is a nice little bargain. You have a good little variety of items to create your own magic.

I have very sensitive ears. This kit, in terms of the nickel free kit, works well in replacing several ear hooks that have been bothering me.If you have tarnished silver and want to use this kit to repair tarnished jewelry, this will also withstand cleaning with baking soda, aluminum foil and hot water, but definitely won't do well with a commercial cleaner.FYI Best way to clean silver jewelry, EVEN WITH soft gemstones: BOIL WATER. Prepare a flat glass tray with a sheet of aluminum foil on it. Measure out 2 TBSP baking soda and 2 TBSP salt. Place your jewelry on the aluminum foil, completely flat, and pour boiling hot water on it. Wearing NITRILE gloves (rubber will wreak havoc), quickly sprinkle the salt and baking powder over the jewelry, gently mixing with your fingers. It will fizz like crazy and smell like rotten eggs-- that's the sulfur transferring from your silver to the aluminum. Remove quickly after fizzing stops, and rinse with hot water and liquid soap (don't use anything with "moisturizer" on it.) Dry with a microfiber cloth and repeat as needed.

My 12-year old daughter loves to create jewelry so we purchased this for her. She used all the pieces and is asking for more so I guess they are good :)

Wow, this kit is wonderful. I can hardly wait to get started making Christmas gifts and birthday presents for my family and friends. The price is well worth it, after heading to my favorite big box craft store and buying about 1/3 the amount of the contents and paid more than 3 times what this cost. I am pretty happy with this product, I wasn't expecting some of the items included, literally my only complaint was that the box arrived with a crack, but that isn't your fault, maybe extra bubble wrap for the box? Anyway, Super awesome price too, can't wait to create some stuff!

Very nice kit. Has many of the things I need and will use to fix jewelry that has come "undone." Affordable and very useful.

I had to take everything out of the case because I would make a total mess every time I opened it if I didn't and it took me a good hour to get all the little pieces out and separated. Some of the findings are pretty cute though.
