Good product overall. Has a tight spring loaded “push in” door with a latch to keep live bait secure. Adequate water flow overal to increase longevity. Smaller holding capacity (would not put over 15-20 regular sized shrimp in it).

Does what it should for a reasonable price. I’d recommend for kayak fishing. It floats and has a shape that allows it to be towed without creating excessive drag. I prefer an insulated bucket when possible, but carrying a styrofoam bucket on a kayak is not practical. It comfortably holds two dozen medium minnows. I’ve used it twice so far, and it has kept my minnows alive in 95 degree temperatures here in the southeastern United States. I’ve seen reviews with complaints of a missing latch, but mine arrived with the latch intact. The access door is spring loaded, so the latch is just an additional safety feature. The only thing that I don’t care for is that it’s hard to empty the leftovers once the trip is done. First world problems, I guess.

This thing kept 4" men menhaden alive for a few hours. Has plenty of room. As for the durability of it, it's been rolling around in the bed of my truck for 2 weeks after using it memorial day weekend. Still hasn't busted like the other reviews show. Honestly, it looks like in the other reviews that one person threw the bait bucket off the bridge and shattered the bottom (I've admittedly done this before on accident and did the same). Another review showed where where the upper and lower pieces had separated. I believe that it could be a factory issue but it most likely was from dropping the bait bucket off a pier or something and the rope wasn't long enough (done this too as a kid, long drop and sudden stop will rip the bottom right out). These are under $20 for a reason. You'll, at best get 3 years out of one before it dry rots, even less time if you fish saltwater. I will always use this bucket, always have and always will.

This is a good little bait container easy to carry and keeps my bait lively. No need to bring an air pump just tie a cord to it and leave it in the water and when I'm done fishing I just let the bait swim away.
