Zinus Michelle Compack 9-Leg Support Bed Frame, for Box Spring and Mattress Set, King, Black (AZ-SBF-07K)

So we spent months researching for the perfect mattress, waited patiently for the best price on the mattresses we wanted to try, spent hours at multiple stores laying on different mattresses praying we didn't pick up some disease along the way until finally... We pulled the trigger and bought a mattress! The next day it is delivered and we are ecstatic, ready to get a good night's sleep in our newly punched bed. We hop in and are sorely disappointed to find that we are still sloping in on top of one another in the middle of the bed. What gives? We got a new box spring to go with our new mattress. We should be sleeping like babies on a cloud ☁. Wrong. Our frame was warped from being passed down through multiple family members so the cross bars are kinda bowed in the middle. So begins the hunt for a frame to take our new mattress from disappointing to heavenly. After a little research I settled on the frame I am reviewing here. I liked the price and for the most part it got great reviews. It is important to note I wanted a quiet frame for... Adult activities 😉. This frame exceeded my expectations. It only took 30 min start to finish to set up. The instructions were clear and easy to understand. I am a visual learner so the pictures were quite helpful. Initially I was a little leary due to how light the pieces were but I'm pleased with how strong it is. It comes compactly folded which will be great for our next move. There are 3 main parts plus easy to use screws washers and an Alan wrench. The best part is how supportive the frame is. The bed was totally level (yes I checked with a level), after it was assembled and the box spring and mattress were put on. No more sloping or hole in the middle! My husband and I can sleep comfortably apart or together without feeling like we're sleeping on a cliff. Last note, it is definitely quiet ;). Even with the headboard attached.

UPDATE: if you are plus size do NOT use a metal bed frame with metal box spring it doesnt mix well Original: I bought this metal bed frame because I am a heavier set person who is over 350 pounds and I just cannot trust one that is made out of wood. I am a 23-year-old female, and I put it together completely by myself and it was mostly easy except for the fact that I'm assuming Because it's so cheap it doesn't use the correct type of bolt. This in my opinion makes me feel like the bed will not be sturdy because the wing nut that screws onto the bolt does not meet the frame meaning it has the potential to not be safe in the future but I will deal with that when it comes. Now for the positives, I was one sleeping on just a bed with a boxspring and so now with the new bedframe, my bed has become five times more comfortable than it was, and sleep is much easier now. Even though I talked about it, not being stable, possibly in the future at the moment since it was just put together a day ago it has been incredibly stable on my carpeted floors and has not moved at all. I do not know how it will be on a non-carpeted floor. Unfortunately, I was too lazy to add the slip-resistant pads on the frame so my boxspring which is also metal has been sliding constantly that is my fault, and I'm sure if I were to put them on it would not do so. All in all, it is good for the price and currently I love it so I give it a 4/5

I was drawn to this product because the one I chose is adjustable and we plan on going from queen to king in the future. The diagram instructions made it easy to put together in about 15 minutes for one person. All necessary tools included was a plus. Feels solid and good quality. I've always been happy with various Zinus brand bed frames purchased over the years.

UPDATE January 2023 What an investment! I since bought the Zinus slats that sit on top of this frame and did notice creaking but it’s from the slats not the actual base. This base itself I originally purchased on sale for about $35ish and looking back now I would say it was worth than and more. If this ever breaks I would 100% buy it again. UPDATE April 2021 It’s been a few years and I’ve dissembled and reassembled this and this is still an amazing purchase! I stopped using it for several months due to my bed being too tall but I started using it again. Still very solid and haven’t had any creaking or noise come from it. UPDATE November 2019 I’ve had this for several months now and have had no issues at all! It’s doesn’t make any noise so far and is still sturdy as ever. Highly recommend!! Specially for the price. This is my first Zinus product and am very happy with it. ORIGINAL REVIEW I had this in my cart for weeks before I decided to buy it, I was hesitant because it was very affordable and although it had great reviews there was several bad ones that made me think “what I get a similar experience?” But I am so glad I got this. I had a bed frame from Ikea but the mid-beam was broken so my mattress and box spring were directly on the floor. So I needed something to raise it. When I got the package and opened it I was worried because it looked like it was used and there was some scratches. I went ahead and built it and it only took about 20 minutes. 2 weeks in and this is so sturdy!! No noise either! I move so much when I sleep and I’m a bigger guy too but this thing is really solid! I will update the review if anything else changes.

I am pleasantly surprised by this bed frame. I didn't really want to get a frame, as I've never had a good experience with one. I bought a queen-sized bed and box spring a few years ago, but I didn't have a ton of cash after graduating college and my old roll-up futon was just plain painful. Thus, my bed sat on the floor for 3 years. Awkward. Finally I decided it was time to get my adult on and purchase a bed frame. My memories of metal bed frames from my youth are summed up as: squeaky, wobbly and constantly breaking at 3 a.m. so you're fumbling around underneath in the dark half asleep trying to put it back together and then you cut yourself and bleed everywhere and sleep on the couch. But I am too poor to afford a $3,000 modern masterpiece and there's no IKEA out here. So basic metal frame it is. This frame is not squeaky or wobbly in the slightest. (Can't attest to the 3 a.m. breaking yet, but other reviews are positive.) It was easy to assemble and I didn't even cut myself on the edges! The feet have rubber padding to prevent floor damage or movement if on a hard surface. The instructions were clear and easy to follow. The package also came with little rubber pieces to stick on the metal frame to keep your box spring from sliding off. I belly flopped on the bed (for science) and it did not move. The cat approves of the new space underneath to explore and hide toys in. I am looking forward to the extra storage space. The finish is very nice. Though there were a few nicks in the coating, you can't see it when assembled with the bed on top. For $50 I am very pleased.

¡Excelente base, fácil de armar! Mi único tema es que la cama quedó demasiado alta, entre el box y el colchón, más los 30 cm de altura de la base, la cama quedó exageradamente alta. Ojalá tuvieran opciones más bajas para los box y oclchones altos. La recomiendo totalmente, solo tomar en cuanta la medida final ya armada la cama.

Fantastic bed frame . Simple , sturdy, well made . Very easy to assemble . Doesn’t squeak . Sits nice and flat on the floor and the queen mattress fits perfectly . Comes with everything you need to assemble . Took under 45 minutes to put it together . Highly recommend

me gusto , es fácil de armar trae toda su herramienta y el manual bien explicado , para lo que lo voy a usar es para un colchón inflable y me gusto porque lo puedes poner al tamaño que tengas de colchón, lo que si para mi no, lo sentí un poco frágil no creo que aguante un colchón normal es mi opinión pero si me gusto para el uso que le voy a dar.

Easy to assemble, sturdy, does not squeak, holds bed comfortably. This is the 3rd in our house of this brand and I love them!
