I have to agree with others reviewing this book...if you are interested drawing botanical specimen, then this is by far the first book you should buy. The book is designed to take the artist step-by-step through a vast number of plants. The book is quite suitable for both beginners and these with a vast amount of knowledge and skill.I cannot recommend this book high enough.

I have an entire library of botanical illustration books and this one rates quite high on the list. Excellent instructions, tips, and a selection of graphite pencils provided for the drawings. Tips that you generally discover after many failures before you have a successful drawing. I wish I had discovered this book early in my journey to find that “perfect” book.

Looks like a good book but the ink was so light it was hard to see the drawings.

Exactly what I was looking for. Loving the detail as I also do very detailed florals. Have been a florist for 30 years, only found two examples I did not like, the rest were pretty much spot on. Very helpful instructions, I think she did an excellent job.

Very good but just shy of great - especially considering the medium. The artist's work is excellent but it seems there could be a few more examples in the step by step. This is really geared toward technical botanical drawing. The artist uses a magnifying glass for detail listed in supplies. While I appreciate that attention to accuracy it is hard and/or tedious for those with vision issues.

Very helpful for my tattooing practice. Descriptive, detailed, and fun.

What a refreshing book on sketching flora. I have new insights and methods for drawing botanicals. It is worth the price.

Tons of info for the beginner or the professional

Really enjoying this book. I find the instruction very understandable and clear.So pleased I found this book because I love using graphite, and this book is just up my street. Easy to follow projects that I'm steadily working through.For me I can thoroughly recommend.

Yesterday I received this book, opened it.... It is beautiful. Illustrations will be enjoyable to work on. I should admit it is the best book with botanical drawings I own so far.

Excellent book. Lots of step by step instructions which include a very good range of subjects. I think this is one of the best books I have seen on drawing botanical subjects in graphite.
