Takes more than one person, but worth it
This table was perfect for our small kitchen. We dont have a dining room, but we have 2 adults and 3 kids. If it were any bigger it wouldnt fit. The table took about 4 hours to assemble, but was worth it. You arent supposed to use any power tools so it took us longer. Alot of the reviews said there wasnt predrilled holes or that it came damaged, which made me a little worried but the areas that i think needed holes were in soft wood areas, so it was easy to screw into. There was one small flaw that they overlooked (it actually had a red reject sticker pointing to it) but it was just cosmetic and smaller than a dime so i didnt really mind. It definitely needs two people to assemble, it would take much longer with only one person. But overall its just what we needed to tie our kitchen together. Also, theres alot of reviews saying "you get what you pay for" but i believe its worth its price. It may not be real oak or whatever but its solid, sturdy and looks great 👌

Good Product, Great Price, be patient during assembly.
This is a good product, great looking, perfect fit for the space. For the price lets face it, its not super heavy duty store bought - for 10x the price. Take your time putting it together (took me a day). Read the instructions very carefully (in photos that some posted decrying the product, it's clear that they did not put it together correctly). Be patient, there are a few places where its easy to get tripped up. I added extra strength to mine by applying wood glue to all the parts and putting it together. Its been assembled for a week now, and its garnered many compliments both on line and in person. Many people thought I made it myself from scratch! I did use power tools but I'm skilled with them and went slowly to avoid breaking anything - given its mostly particle board that would be easy to do. One part didn't fit quite correctly and I ended up cracking it despite my caution. I contacted customer service via their website and they quickly sent me a replacement part free of charge. Excellent customer service. Parting thought: Nice looking, Good quality for the price, take your time putting it together.

Read the Reviews!!!
OK - this is an affordable and well built nook. It is great for our needs. We absolutely love it. Once you *correctly* build it, it is a wonderful value for the price. It seats 4-5 adults, or 2-3 adults and 2-3 children . It looks great, and it fits the smaller space we had perfectly. The nooks that were literally 2 inches more on the long side would have been completely useless for us. But if your space would accommodate a nook a bit bigger, I can't comment for you. This was one of the very few (only?) that would fit our area.I have seen complaints from people on assembly - complaints about splitting wood and holes not drilled deep anough. These people did not do their assembly job correctly. It is a difficult assembly for the nook - will take a half day and two people - and it takes an exacting mind. Anyone who tries to wing it is doomed to fail.If you already read the prior reviews, here's the truth on assembly and here's the fake news:Truth:1) There's a chemical smell. Air it out. Even if you don't, it'll eventually fade away. It 'aint dangerous and it doesn't detract from the item.2) You need two people to assemble the nook (assembling the table and bench is a one-man job).3) The instructions are fine, but the labeling of the pieces could be moire explicit.4) Each piece is supposed to fit flush. If it doesn't fit flush, you screwed something up. Back up, turn whatever piece is not flush the other way, and try again - I bet it'll fit flush the "other" way. Similarly, if you hear your screw make a bad sound or not go as deep as it's supposed to go, you are doing something wrong. Back up., and try again.5) It took us 3-4 hours for the nook, including backing out some steps and going again. Once the nook was done, the table and bench took under an hour.Fake News:1) the pieces don't fit/the holes aren't drilled properly - MALE COW EXCREMENT - every single screw and hole fits perfectly .... with one important caveat.2) The pieces have to be turned in the correct direction. You have to screw into the exact right hole. Sometimes, even though it seems like it doesn't matter which way you turn the piece to be put together next, you will have to turn the piece around. The hole is drilled precisely, so you need to turn it around so the screw goes in correctly OR the piece needs to be turned the other way so that the next piece fits correctly.3) My point is, DO NOT get new screws and start trying to do it yourself outside the instructions cause you think you know better. None of the pieces split - NOT ONE SINGLE PIECE - unless you did something incorrectly. As long as you keep turning pieces around to make sure the right screw is going into the right hole and each piece, after being screwed, fits FLUSH (not kinds flush - not flush if you screw it harder - but easily FLUSH), it'll go together perfectly.4) If any piece of wood splits,. it's YOUR FAULT. You screwed something up along the way because you weren't careful to make sure each piece fit flush and you weren't willing to back out and re-do correctly.Anyway, once correctly assembled, the piece is beautiful. Easy to clean, easy to use, and the centerpiece of our family breakfast.
