Fantastic product, after-sales service is the best ever.
Summary: Brilliant product, would recommend without hesitationWhy we bought it: We had suffered from bad condensation on the upstairs bedroom windows every Winter for the last few years (ours is a very old house but with double glazed windows and from what I've read this is often not a happy combination). Finally I decided to do something about it, other than having to have the windows open most of the day long during the Winter to keep on top of the situation. After the first night of using this it was unbelievable - the next morning there was virtually no condensation, and after the second night there was absolutely zero condensation. So I wish I had got this product sooner, it's incredible how much water it will draw out from your air. I couldn't believe it. The item itself is neat and compact and once you have your situation under control, the maintenance level is nice and quiet, and we have this machine on 24/7 and it's just outside the bedroom doors and it does not disturb sleep whatsoever. I now have the machine set to maintenance level, and it toggles between low and high (when more humidity is in the air that it needs to deal with), and at night time I just turn it right down to the one drip low setting and it's very very quiet but powerful enough to prevent any condensation on the windows whatsoever. So, the product is brilliant and a fantastic price for the quality of the item. We have also noticed that we set our central heating at a much lower temperature to achieve the same warmth in our house than we did before we had this machine, so it's saving us money on our gas central heating bills. The main reason I have written this review, though, when I've never taken the time to write a review for anything else I've bought via Amazon before, is that the after-sales service is just out of this world....After-sales service: If only every other company had the same quality of after-sales service as this one. I rang them immediately I received the item, for advice on which settings to use, given the layout of my house and our particular condensation problem, and received very helpful advice from the lady I spoke to. After a few days, the machine was still pulling loads of water from the air, even though we had had it set on the highest laundry setting to get on top of the problem. The information I had read about the product seemed to suggest that I should be able to turn the setting down after a few days, so I rang the company again, to ask for some advice on this, and a very helpful engineer/technical expert spent much time explaining to me in great detail the ins and outs of condensation problems and how the machine worked. From our discussion it soon became clear that ours was not a typical situation, which we already suspected!, and so we needed to adapt the settings accordingly - the condensation problem had built up over some years and also as ours is a 19th century house too, but with some unhelpful (for condensation) modernisations. I was advised to stay with the high laundry setting and ring back in a week and they would look at my situation again - and so it continued, and for a while I rang every week or couple of weeks, for further advice on how/when to alter the settings. Now that the situation is under control, and we are not emptying the machine so often, I no longer have my regular chats! It would be easy not to bother writing the review (and it has taken me far too long to do so! I got this machine back in November!), but I just wanted to thank the company for the excellent service I have had from them. I cannot praise the competence, knowledge and politeness of the staff at Ecoair enough.

Excellent quality
Bought this 10 years ago and even though the first one is still going strong just bought a second one as a back up because couldn’t live without it! Regularly used, often daily, and consistently performs well. Newer one seems to collect even more water, probably more efficient than the 10 year old. The laundry function dries very effectively. May be more expensive than others on the market but worth the extra. Very quiet on low setting. Highly recommended!

Very effective
Bought this dehumidifier as the dampness levels in my house have been rising lately due to excessively wet weather conditions and a broken boiler. I am most impressed with the volume of water extracted from the atmosphere and the noticeable drop in humidity especially in the kitchen. It is very easy to set up and pretty quiet on the lower setting, I can't hear it over the radio. I recommend emptying the tank before it is full even if that means emptying it twice a day when drying laundry. I've considered buying another one for upstairs although it's light enough to carry up once the kitchen is down to 50% humidity. Much better than my old humidifier which was a condenser model and quite noisy

Light and compact
If you want to move this between rooms, it is super light and a good compact size.I live in a 5 storey solid stone house in a damp valley. We can’t put extractors in as it’s a grade 2 listed building. We have bathrooms on 3 different floors and condensation on single glazed windows nearly every day in the winter. This machine is a powerful unit. I can put it on for 2 hours after a shower in an en-suite bedroom (about 12x19 feet total) and the humidity dropped from 83-55%. I bought some thermpro humidity readers- relatively cheap and super useful and accurate at showing how damp a room is. So, if it tells you it’s damp in one room, you can carry the dehumidifier to where it’s needed.I like that it has a hose outlet and hose included if ever we are out /away and want it on the constant mode.Would be excellent for laundry in a small room. Really useful if you don’t want the hassle of emptying it. I might buy another one for another problem bedroom but right now, it’s really easy to lift and move around the home.I also bought a Meaco Arête at the same time for a laundry room. Much bigger 25l heavy duty powerhouse. But this is a very damp room with tumble dryer, a lot of laundry hanging and a steam generator iron going up to 10 hrs a week. It doesn’t need to move.I really researched my needs; this one is perfect for smaller properties and small utility rooms for drying laundry or, if like me, you want to use it in specific rooms and move it around. Large ones are VERY heavy.I have another older XDry whose tank spills on getting it out. This little one is great- can put on carpet, won’t spill. Very solid, high quality construction. Easy sliding tank- no jerky slopping of water. Great choice of programmes and very easy to understand dashboard so you won’t have to pull out the instruction manual all the time. The only things I don’t like are that it’s quite noisy- although a constant hush/ white noise. I couldn’t sleep with it in the room or watch tv comfortably- but I only use it on the high mode.I know from other models that it’s energy usage isn’t the best so I dropped star for that- but - it is extremely quick at extracting moisture for its size so cost wise, you save from that.Extremely happy with it.
