I have been using these on my Tiem shoes for the past few months and they work great! Barely any wear and tear and they were easy to set up.

If you ride Shimano SPD pedals you need these. I have tried other name brand, compatible cleats, but find the minimal cost savings (talking a few dollars) to not be worth it. Shimano cleats just feel easier to engage and disengage from the pedals, with a good amount of float, and last longer in day to day use. The SH51 cleats disengage via lateral movement from twisting your heel side to side. There is another model that also disengages from pulling motion, if I read correctly. Having never tried them, I cannot offer more than they do not appear to work for my style of riding, as I suspect I would end up disengaging from pedaling. I have taken a few spills wearing both Shimano SPD pedals and Look's old delta style pedals, and have always had my shoes disengage as designed (like a ski binding).Recommended.

I bought these cleats for my spin shoes and couldn't be happier. They were easy to install and clip in & out with no hassles. I'm even considering some pedals for my street bike because I like these so much. I thought I'd have to pay a lot more for decent quality, but I've found no flaws or faults with these. That said, I don't walk around in my cycling shoes and have yet to wear them outdoors. I'm also not a competitive cyclist, but I do ride six days a week and have had no problems with these cleats.

These worked perfectly for replacing my old, worn-out ones.

I ordered a great pair of bike shoes that came with Shimano clips. The clips were made of soft metal that wore out in a matter of hours and refused to clip-in properly. Replacing the clips with the ones from Shimano solved all my problems. These clipped in easily, were tight throughout my ride and unclipped as expected. Don't settle for cheap knockoffs, buy the Name-Brand.

Some other reviewers noted that they received what appeared to be counterfeit versions. I received genuine Shimano cleats, and they installed with no problems. I have another set with around 10,000 miles on them, and they are still fine. I just bought another set for a new pair of shoes.Also note that at least a couple of reviewers "installed" these in some multi-purpose mount style shoes (apparently) and they installed the threaded plate OUTSIDE the shoe!!! Then they left horrible reviews. The plate goes inside the shoe, whether you bought the cleat set with the plates or the plates came with the shoes, and ideally it is a shoe specifically intended for Shimano SPD style cleats for best results.
