Who Lives Here? Polar Animals

Great book and kids like the book.

This book is full of facts about polar animals. There is a different animal on every page with multiple facts per animal. This book pairs well with the Antarctic and Arctic toobs from safari LTD. Great to read before sensory play in fake snow or before starting a polar animal unit. My 2 and 4 year old kiddos both enjoy it!

I purchased this book to compliment a loose parts station on polar animals. With homemade snow and a set of polar animals, the themed center is set.

This is a relatively short book at 24 pages, but it does have a lot of beautiful pictures. Young children seem very interested in animals in different parts of the world. I bought this for a three-year-old who is too young to read but loves bedtime stories. It really worked out very well. The walrus models that you see here are from a diorama at the American Museum of Natural History in New York.

I'm doing an Arctic/Antarctic themed lesson this month and this book is wonderful. I have made pictures and collected a figure of each animal in the book and the children love matching them to the book and the picture cards. We have wonderful discussions about these two amazing places on the earth.

This is a cute book with nice pictures & story. It will go perfectly with an arctic fox tree ornament as a Christmas gift for a 5 year old.
