Works like magic or a miracle!
My bonus daughters came home with us for a summer visit. Their mother failed to inform us that their hair was INFESTED with lice, nits, and eggs. I ordered a few boxes of these and sat down a few days apart did two treatments and pulled out a whole colony, there were so many that I feel like they owe me rent! But they are dead and gone. Smells like insecticides, but we are trying to kill an insect, so makes sense.

It works! Don't waste your money on tea tree oil
Don't waste your money on tea tree oil and other herbal remedies that simply do not kill the eggs. As many products will kill the lice but do not kill the egg. Once the egg hatches again the cycle is repeated. I have grandchildren in elementary school to get lice from other kids at the school. We've tried all the herbal remedies and tea tree oils that simply just leave you right back to having to retreat. It makes for a very upset child and the sanity of the adults just withers away. This product is a must have if you have children. And the scent has improved so it leaves a nice fresh scent. It also has the rinse that makes it easier to calm your hair. This kills the lice and the egg and solves the problem. Make sure you follow the directions exactly as it says by doing a second treatment days later so you can rest assured that your bug problem is completely gone. I highly recommend this product because of experience with it when my children were young. They're in their 40s now and now that I have grandchildren, it works on them as well. I'm not wasting my time on things like tea tree oil. I nip it in the bud and get it done in one shot. I have three sons and 17 grandchildren and have never had a problem with this product. It works!

Not as potent as once was
Years ago, I used this and it truly killed all the bugs. This summer my daughter caught lice and we used this twice, one week apart. Soaked her whole head root to tip, let it set, lather and rinced. I bought the higher quality metal comb, tho she used the plastic one that came with this kid while in the shower regularly for a couple weeks. While going thru her her long hair little by little after the nix, I was still pulling out live bugs. They were slow, but they were not all dead as opposed to years ago when my last kid had it. I think the lice in my area has become resistant to this product.

This works !!
I Got Rid of them !!Let’s talk about it. So my daughters got it from her cousin , on Thursday we started the process and this is how I did it.Step (1) I put this product followed the directions (since my daughter has curly full hair, I left it on for extra five minutes ) rinsed it out. Step (2 )I sprayed her hair with white vinegar and apple cider vinegar(this helps the glue of the egg to loosen up ) ( let it sit for 5 minutes)then I mixed warm mayonnaise, coconut oil, and olive oil ( this helps it too suffocate any lice and it also softens & conditions the hair since you put all that chemicals from step (1)Step (3) I cover hair with a disposable shower cap let it sit in hair 4 to 6 hours.Step (4) rinse everything out (we used Head and shoulders) but you can use any of your choosing.Step (5) blow dry hair for 10 to 15 minutes to fry Any eggs.Step (6) flat ironStep (7) I made my own repellent spray with water, tea tree, oil, and rosemary & mint oil (by difeel) I sprayed this on for the last step. The Lice cannot stand the essential oil. (My oldest daughter was clean of everything by Wednesday)And for my three year old I did not use the Nix because I felt like it would be too strong for her. So I just used all the natural ingredients above, and I noticed that the eggs were dried up (due to the white and apple cider vinegar ) and by Tuesday she was good. But I will still be checkingRepeat as much as needed Hope this helps.

We had an outbreak and I used Nix right away ...
We had an outbreak and I used Nix right away. 3 of the 4 of us were in various stages, my daughter and I had lice and my toddler had nymphs and eggs. We followed instructions but when we combed our hair the lice were still alive though we could now get them so this did slow them. I am a huge bugaphobe and it bothered me that we still had live bugs in our hair. The comb included is ok but the Nitfree or fairytales comb is a must. It made a huge difference. We also used licefree which killed the lice immediately (searched 3 stores before I found it at walgreens). I left it on for 30 minutes and then nits, nymphs and lice were dead and nits greatly decreased- from about 20 in my daughter to 9 the next am and from about 15 in me to 8. I think the combo of both worked so far. No recurrence of hatching, nit free for 4 days. We retreated tonight since it's day 7 because you are supposed to.

Thick and Stays on
I was glad Amazon had this because it's hard to find at local stores. It's very thick so stays on better than shampoo. Will buy more to keep on hand. Fast shipping.

DO NOT BUY - BETTER TREATMENTS AVAILABLE
TLDR - go to Walgreens and get topical ivermectin lice treatment and save yourself a tremendous amount of stress and annoyance. Ivermectin will kill the nits and lice and does not require nit picking or combing. It may cost more upfront but this Nix treatment is a scam that to have any hope to work, requires an additional and separate nit comb.My wife and I work in healthcare. We went to the medical literature initially and settled on this Nix permethrin treatment because it was cheap and our kids case was mild. Bad choice. The combs in the box are not fine enough to effectively remove nits. The only way we got close to controlling the outbreak was to buy a separate metal comb. The hours we spent searching and picking by hand, we will never get back. After discussion with other providers about their own similar experience, both recommended ivermectin topically. It worked like a dream. We now have an unopened, unused treatment that Amazon’s app conveniently glitches when trying to return this inferior treatment.
