Not as compelling as the prior books in the series.
We've gotten the whole series to date and this one is the least compelling to our kids (aged 8 and 6). Not sure exactly why (our kids aren't the most discerning critics), but I feel like the story is repetitive - too much like the other ones in the series. I realize that the formula for the Heroes in Training series is fairly straight-forward, but this one seems to be missing something (humor? danger?). In any case, still a good series overall for young kids being introduced to Greek mythology.

Good book
It's a great book·I didn't like the spiders but the battle of the sky is great·I'm 7 years old and Iiked it·

Great series
These books are great for early readers. They are usually only a little over 100 pages. They have a basis in Greek mythology but do create a new storyline. Each book a new hero is added. They are great stories and fun to read. Highly recommend.

This series got our very advanced reading son interested in chapter books. He reads them in a single sitting and can't put them down. He has learned a lot about mythology from them and is no longer intimidated by chapter books!
