Leviton 80409-W 2-Gang Decora/GFCI Device Decora Wallplate, Standard Size, Thermoset, Device Mount, White, 25-Pack

Couple of things to address with this wall plate. First is the size. Some people are saying it’s smaller than normal. I can promise you it’s exactly the size it’s supposed to be. 4-1/2” X 4-9/16”. This is the standard size. As comparison, my old plate is 15 years old and got cracked while it was off the wall for painting (on left). The new plate is identical in size.There are 2 additional sizes if you want it to cover more area. The next size up is ‘midway” and finally, the largest is “oversized’ or “jumbo” depending on the manufacturer.Second is the type of material. This plate is “thermoset” which means it’s a hard plastic. It does NOT have any flex to it so if you don’t have a completely flat surface, don’t use this plate (or do what I do and run a little bead of caulk around edge; looks perfect after that). If you need a flexible plate, get one that says “thermoplastic “ or “nylon” (which is what most big box stores carry).I personally like the thermoset plates; think they look higher quality. And the price right now is crazy cheap; just a little over a dollar. I’ll be buying several more. And maybe I just got lucky but all 4 packages had all their screws.

Standard size? Maybe.. I ordered this from amazon in a bulk purchase with some other switches and outlets. Most of the faceplates I bought were from a big box hardware store in town for convenience, the brand of those were Cooper. I bought all standard size plates for two bedrooms and a bathroom, but i forgot this single 2-gang decora cover. Anyway, at the hardware store they had three sizes, small, standard and oversized. I don't have a comparison to check, but this plate I received is on the small side compared to all the Cooper plates I bought. It looks odd and didn't cover up some wall imperfections that one of the Cooper standard plates would have. Maybe the sizing is different or I received the wrong problem, but just a word of warning to someone that orders these; they may be smaller than you'd expect.

The wall plate is nice and appears to be good quality. As expected it is easy to install.Cons: Not really related to the plate itself, but when it was delivered the plate had poked a hole in the wrapper and one of the screws was missing. They are universal so I just picked some up at the local hardware store. The 3 remaining screws in the package had a black hint to them, I am thinking it is from bouncing around in the package. It would be nice if the screws were in a separate wrapping within the packaging for the wall plate. I just used 4 new screws so they were all the same white.

I bought two of these. Both of them broke. One broke while I tried to remove it from the package. The other broke before I even managed to put in the screws. Don't waste your money on these. Don't say I didn't warn you.

My order had this product and a low voltage wall mount, sent together in the same package. The low voltage wall mount has parts that stick out perpendicular, and I'm guessing that those broke this Decora wall plate during shipment. I reported it as defective to Amazon, and they replaced it with an identical one the next day in good condition. I'm happy.

I just used it for a standard set of light switches.Perfect fit. Includes the 4x screws. standard white.I'm not sure what "sheerness" is, but I gave that 5 stars, too.

screws were too short to fit some of my boxes and i ended up breaking it on accident putting too much pressure. also one package came with only 3 screws instead of the 4.

The plate is fine but it does not come with screws. Now I have to find 4 white screws. Will probably just buy a different plate that comes with screws.

Not much to say about this product other than it fits perfectly, looks great, and it's a cheap price. It also comes with 4 new white screws to replace your old ones. Before and after photo posted for reference.

Not much to say except that it looks and works exactly as expected. Price could maybe be a bit cheaper but at a little over $2 I am not complaining, just nit picking.

Standard plate, and does the job.

Excellent product for the price

Work well good material, but not the larger size that is available in big box stores.
