Unlike field varieties that are widely sold for use in greenhouse, these varieties are specific for protected culture and smaller framed allowing for higher plant populations with exceptional rates of growth that mean plants reach maturity much more quickly.

Like others... only received about 50 out of 100.
Like other reviewers, I only received half the number of promised seeds. I'm just starting out in hydroponics, and as a bachelor without much space, I'm doing small scale. I'm trying different varieties. Unless I hate the rest and decide to grow just this -- I most likely won't actually use more than 50 seeds before they go bad. BUT, it's the principle of the thing. I bought 100. Common guys. This shouldn't be so hard.

My Lettuce all the time
I keep butter lettuce growing all the time in my Aerogardens, mostly from these pelleted, excellent-germination seeds. I haven't bought lettuce in almost a year :-)

Bad Product. Only 1 out of 20 germinated.
Was very excited about these seeds as they had great reviews. And the fact that they’re pelleted makes them a lot easier to plant.However, I’ve planted about 20 of these seeds, and only ONE sprouted. They’re advertised at a 97% germination rate.My experience so far is a 0.05% germination Rate. TERRIBLE.I will NOT by these again.

Easy to grow, lovely, tasty
Grew very well, lovely plants to look at, fast growing, great tasting. I plan to grow these lettuces from now on. Love having fresh lettuce on demand!

Good tasting lettuce.
At first I only got one out of 6 to grow in my Aerogarden but when I put some seeds in my farm aerogarden the all grew. Love the taste.

Tastes great!
I purchased 50 seeds and recieved 50 seeds. This was my first time trying to grow anything hydroponically. Out of 12 seeds planted, 11 sprouted and have grown all the way to harvest, a little over a month later. This is some of the best tasting lettuce I have ever eaten! I would highly reccomend this product!

I was told that Rex is good with hydroponics which is what I'm using
100% germination rate. I don't yet know how it will grow but so far it has exceeded my expectation. I am growing it in a hot california summer which is not ideal for lettuce. However, I was told that Rex is good with hydroponics which is what I'm using.

Expensive but worth it.
It's definite very expensive. But I think it's worth the price. First, each pellet is easy to pick up and plant, unlike tiny lettuce seed. I've planted the first 100 seeds and have 100% germination rate. Will buy more.
