EDIT NEW INTRO NOV-2022I had to come back and put how I really feel about this because it has to be heard by Ferret owners. If you want to keep your ferrets alive, well and thriving for longer than 5 years...THIS IS WHAT YOU FEED THEM. Every other ferret I owned, before my previous three ferrets, never lived past 5 or 6 years old. They got "pretty good" hard food for their diet. Nothing else. Then, in 2013, I adopted Bubbles. Thats her in the picture. My best friend. She was two when I adopted her. I was sick of losing my ferrets in 5/6 years due to Marshall breeding habits so I researched the BEST FOOD Possible to feed them. And Wysong ferret was the TOP OF THE LINE. ON EVERY LIST I READ. So that was it. I decided that day, I would do anything and everything possible to keep her around....as long as I could. I fed her a soup mix of this every two or three days as well as a really great top shelf dry Grain free kitten food. Heres my results..I just lost my best buddy OCTOBER 20TH. SHE WAS ELEVEN YEARS OLD. I wish I could have had more time with her...but I cant ask for more than what I got. Thats it That was the ONLY DIFFERENCE in her and my other ferrets. She didnt have meds, she didnt have implants for insulinoma...nothing. I just fed her differently than I fed my past ferrets. So I owe Wysong so much more than a thank you...but thats all I can give.Hopefully, just how grateful I am to them, comes through in this post.Thank you Wysong. Before I started using Wysong Ferret Archetype my ferret never seemed to be very interested in the foods I was giving her. She also had a dull coat and I couldn't get her weight to come up. So about two years ago I saw this listed on the Ferret food chart as one of the best things you can feed your Ferret. So after giving it a try I am hooked! My ferret is hooked! And she will ALWAYS continue to eat this. Now her hair is glossy, and I've noticed it's even gotten thicker and she's put on enough weight that other people have actually noticed in her pictures on instagram and now they actually ask me what I feed her so that they can try it in hopes of their fuzzy gaining weight as well! I INSTANTLY tell them what it is and how good it is for their Ferret. I am so pleased with this product it has so many things your Ferret needs that they just can't get from other foods. They really do need raw in their diets! My ferret LOVES this stuff. She is super happy every time I put it in her bowl and make her a little soup of it and mix it with her hard food. One pouch actually lasts quite awhile too so if you are skeptical on the price point just try it, and you will see results. It's great stuff!

My ferrets get this as a soup with warm water sometimes as a little treat and are obsessed with it. If your ferret is mostly a kibble fed ferret then they might not really like it when you first introduce it to them but if they do this put a little on ur finger and have them lick it thats what I did. Great purchase

The media could not be loaded. She was ONLY eating raw and did not want pellets so i bought this as a topper and it worked right away. She ate so many pellets and im planning to make a gravy out of it for her soon! Dont contemplate the price!

Good product, but potentially dangerous! Make absolutely SURE your break the pieces up with your fingers before giving to your pet. I have had two sharp chicken claws in the mix that would not do well if swallowed! This is for your friend to have a little more protein - not for them to choke on. Please be aware.

I have two ferrets, both male, one of which is three years and the other four which I purchased this product for after hearing good reviews on Wysong and researching food charts. At first my ferrets weren't very interested in it - I tried it as a past and then later mixed it with wet food and both times their response was lack-luster. I then just gave it to them as a treat in its dried form and they seemed to like this best, so I keep a small treat bowel in their cage with some of this in addition to their regular food and they love it! The only drawback is there aren't a lot of large pieces as its pretty crushed up, but they seem to make due just fine and the bowel is always licked clean.This isn't a complete diet, but it makes a great addition to regular food and I love that I can use it as either a soup or a gravy or just dry, because it allows me to tailor it to my ferrets preferences and situation.

Jack loves this stuff. He will not eat treats He’s very picky. He did not eat this at first either but after a few days of slowly adding to his normal food he loves it. He will scarf down any chuck of this I hand him. He only likes it dry though. I mix it with his kibble and supply plenty of water. His stool changed it’s apperance and did worry me at first. I did my research and learned ferrets with raw in there diet have more of a looser stool and his looked similar to ferrets that eat raw meat without bones or fur.

Both my cat and my ferret like this. Can't keep them out of each others food so kitty gets ferret food. Just be aware that it is not a kibble type foodit comes in a dry powdery form with lumps in it and some of those lumps can be quite hard. I always worry about blockages for the ferret. So I justput some in a baggie go over it with a rolling pin sprinkle it over their regular food and add a little water stir it all up and it will re-hydrate and make a nice coating on their food which they love. Will buy this again good nutritional boost to their regular food.Update : My earlier worries were unfounded softens right up with water. Both pets still love this and their fur has grown so soft and fluffy especially my ferret she looks and is so healthy I will continue to feed this to both my pets .
