Cockpit: A Second Chance Romance
This book was recommended to me by two of my favorite authors. Boy, am I glad I listened to them! Our hero Jagger is crazy about speed, whether it's the fighter jets he handles in the Marines or the Harley he spends his down time on. Then he met Jenny. On his last night before deployment, he came across this gorgeous redheaded bombshell. Before they even got to exchanging last names, she wound up in his bed, sharing a night he couldn't forget. She slipped out of his bed before he woke up, and then he realized that the condom broke, and even worse, stains on his bedding proved she was a virgin. He had no idea how to find her, and no time left before he had to leave. She haunted him while he was gone, and it was over a year before he could look for her again. When they do finally meet, neither one of them faces up to the truth; he doesn't tell her about the condom, and she doesn't tell him about the baby. Nor does she tell him that the general is her father. Honestly, I wanted to whack them both and yell, "Listen, stupid!" But it all worked out without my help. Learning how the author managed this is more than worth the price of the book, believe me! I'm not sure if it's still on sale at Amazon, but it's a sweet and funny love story that you won't want to miss.Jgtimm

Deployment cant stop fate! Good read.
I really enjoyed this story. It was one that I wanted to read in one sitting because I just wanted to find out what was going to happen. The characters are nicely laid out and the author did a great job at providing background and substance. Jagger's character is the alpha male, full of cockiness and oozing sexiness, however I did find myself missing that cockiness as the story progressed. His characters personality kinda mellowed out a lot after he got Jenny to give him a chance. That was a little disappointing because I thought his character still needed some of that cockiness. A guy just cant turn it off an a dime. Either way I still liked Jagger and his story-line. Jenny's character is a little immature but given the fact that the story started when she was just 18, it kind of fits. Her character makes a lot of questionable decisions throughout the story, but again Jenny is still very young so it kind of works, though it was infuriating at times. I just wanted to slap her a few times and tell her to grow up and do the right thing. All in all, it was a very good story and I like Jenny and Jagger together. It starts out with our hero Derick Jagger, aka "Sergeant Panty Dropper", a pilot in the Marines out on the prowl the night before he ships out on deployment. He sets his sights in a gorgeous redhead named Jenny. While she didn't seem the typical bar girl, he was instantly taken by her. They mind-melting night, culminating with crazy morning sex and a broken condom, that had him wanting to do more than bed her and leave her. But, before he could even get her last name she was running out the door and disappearing into the street. with no time to look for her he ships out overseas for almost a year and a half, all the while not able to get the fiery redhead, that sparked a flame within in, out of his mind. Upon he returns to his new duty station training new pilots his past is thrust back into the present when he walks into a juke bar and discovers his waitress is none other than the redhead he hasn't been able to stop thinking about. Jenny is reluctant to allow him into her world even though she hasn't stopped thinking about him either, partly due to the secret fact that she has his baby while he was gone, and because of his reputation as "Sergeant Panty Dropper". Should she tell him about the baby or just go about life without involving him? Jagger is not deterred easily and he pursues her anyway. He feels the need to protect her and she eventually gives in to his advances but keeps her secret to herself. one date turns to another and another, and weeks pass. Things seem to be going great until another guy, a drunken greasy creep, comes into the mix and screws everything up. He leads to the fact that she has an illegitimate child while forcefully groping Jenny and Jagger overhears. Jagger defends his girl and pummels the creep but the seed has already been planted and he wants answers. Jenny finally comes clean and tells Jagger about their baby daughter. Can he get past the lies and all the missed time? Apparently not. He grew up without a family, in and out of foster care, and she has been keeping his own flesh and blood from him all this time. Jenny is heartbroken and cannot stand the thought of eventually having to watch him move on with someone else and she takes off with the baby to make a clean start somewhere else, though she plans to share custody and has a lawyer draw up the papers. Jagger comes to realize that Jenny was just doing what she felt she had to do to protect her child when she found out she was pregnant, even if that meant keeping her secret until she thought he could/would be a good father to Hallie. He decides he would chase her anywhere to have the family he didn't know that he had always wanted, a family with Jenny and Hallie.

Two for the price of one
The nice thing about this book is the deal you get - two really nice stories in one book. The first is a bit of a lightweight, but the second one is much better. Cockpit is a military-based story, with the hero a pilot who falls for the General's daughter but is sent into combat before even getting her full name. The only thing that bothered me was that, in my experience as a military spouse, I never saw a Sergeant who was a jet jockey (a pilot). If I say much more, it would be too much of a spoiler for the reader. The second story has a much more complex storyline and the characters have much more depth. I enjoyed the hero's growth from a stud for money and the impacted this has on the heroine as the malicious, manipulating evil cousin wove her web. But enough of this. It's really too close to being a spoiler alert for the reader. So, ft it and enjoy. I look forward to more from this author.

Hot Pilot and the General's Daughter
This book is the story of Derek Jagger and Jenny Reeds. Derek is a Master Sgt. and pilot. He has a one night hook up with Jenny and she runs off. He's deployed for several months and when he get back he reassigned as instructor at another base. He's trying to figure out how to find Jenny with no last name when he sees her on the base. He thinks she's babysitting for someone. Little does he know the darling baby is his. This is the story of how Derek goes about trying to win back the heart of the only woman to ever make a yearn for forever. Oh yeah, did I mention she's also the General's daughter! Pick this one up today. It's a lot of fun.

Baby Secret
Jaeger and Jenny got together for one wild night, condom broke and Jenny ran from him because her dad had her on a curfew. She never knew about the condom, Jagger didn't know her last name, he was then deployed. She could have tracked him down when she found out she was pregnant. But friends at the base had known of his player ways and she thought he just wanted a one night stand. Great military romance, loved it!!

Cockpit
I loved the hero in this book sure he was a cocky pilot, but he is back from his last tour overseas and he wants to find the girl he met the last time he was in the states. Disappointed when the girl Jenny didn't tell him she was pregnant with his baby and even after they meet again she holds out way too long to tell him. it is disheartening not to give a guy a chance to be a stand up kind of guy and judging him. Loved Jagger

See review for reasoning of rating.
I really enjoyed Cockpit and gave it 4 Stars. I also enjoyed A Bad Boy for Summer and gave it 4 Stars. And then there was Push, it was 4 Stars. With that said, I did purchase the book but it is a KU Page stuffer. So it gets 2 Stars.

3 books for the price of 1 rubbish one
I will start with the not so great review- Cockpit is not worth the money. The characters, dialogue and plot is cheesy and poorly developed.Thankfully, it is only 1/3 of the book and there are two other decent novels that come for free with it.My advice- skip the first novel and read the last two.

Waste of money
I'm getting so sick of authors squeezing 4 books in one. As soon as I realised that it was less than 40% of the actual content I returned it. Don't bother.

A GOOD ROMANCE WITH A BIT OF FUN AND A LOT OF ANGST
I read 'Cockpit' by Joanna Blake when it was first released and it was an enjoyable read. Derek 'Sergeant Panty Dropper' Jagger was completely smitten by Jenny from the moment they met. After a wild one night stand, Jagger was deployed and Jenny, well...her life changed. He couldn't forget her, but didn't know her surname. She couldn't locate him and gave up. Roll on eighteen months. Would they get a second chance to rekindle their sizzling encounter? Would they learn to communicate and be open? The story is definitely fun and sexy, but it's also dramatic, too.The two MCs were flawed, but very likable (if at times frustrating). They grew and developed. Their story was told via a dual POV which allowed insight into both of their thoughts, actions and feelings. Jenny's age and circumstances meant she was a little immature, mixed-up and her decision-making-skills were questionable. Jagger, who was much older, was impulsive and reactive at times, but a pretty nice guy, really. He knew what he wanted and went for it. Jenny's father was a hoot.I think the author made the story work, despite the occasional cliche and slightly clumsy scene. It generally had a warm and sweet feel, yet it was very hot, too. The plot was focused and it wasn't overly crowded - nice and simple.

AVOID!!!
omg..!! why did i read this? it's a waste of time and money!!avoid this book at all costs, it might give you eye-cancer - yes, it is THAT bad.the story is so far away from "real life" with THE MOST stupid and imature heroine (and hero!) of all times!i'm just glad i bought the book when it was on sale for 0,99 € - but that's still too much!!the writer should pay me compensation - big time!!

Very cocky
This is quite a good read. The story of Jagger, an airforce pilot & Jenny the Generals daughter. Their one night stand leaves her pregnant, however he doesn't know. They meet again in the bar where she works when he returns from duty. He steps up to the situation. She is a bit hesitant, but we all love happy endings.I didn't bother with the bonus stories. They didn't interest me.
