This is a ‘Mixto’- nowhere on the label does it state 100% blue agave which it certainly would if it was! A 'Mixto' is only required by law to have at least 51% blue agave to be called Tequila. The rest is made of syrups and flavourings which is why this is so sweet (and tastes very little like tequila!) The text description here is highly misleading and whilst all the agave used will be blue it is NOT a 100% tequila! If you want a full tequila at this price point buy Olmeca de Altos (a real bargain) or even El Jimador...

Me and my wife are big fans of Patron XO Cafe, and have been for some years, so I was dubious that this stuff could be as good because the other coffee tequilas and liqueurs we have tried are never nearly as nice as Patron. However it's fair to say that not only is this the equal of Patron, but it's currently our favourite (and we have done a fair bit of research in our house with the two side by side).We have an unbreakable rule regarding spirits in our house, which is if you do one shot you have to do another - it's the law. This had been helpful for our taste tests on Cazcabel and Patrol, and we've had plenty of time to compare the two. Cazcabel just pips Patrol by a whisker - Patron is ever so slightly stronger but this one has a slight edge in flavour.One bonus is that Cazcabel is marginally cheaper too - not by a huge amount (as I write this it is about £3 difference a bottle, so nothing too amazing) but as it's our new favourite that a bonus.If you are a fan of Patron, or even just tequila or coffee, then you should certainly give this a go as the chances are you will love it.

Its a rich dark creamy coffee, syrupy and dense - with the added ninja kick of the tequila following behind. My bottle arrived yesterday and it really wont last long.Having never had this before I was a little meh, having had experiences of tequila they usually end up in a bad way and its always been the last drink to turn to but this, this is WOW.I am a gin girl at heart, a cupboard full of them but now .. well now they are all demoted to the back. This is the new guy in town and he wont last long! I need more...a herd of this stuff. The bottles look ace, the drink is next level yum and the price is awesome. I am now a tequila-vixen!If you want it, get it - before I buy them all!!

First off, the bottle is beautifully designed. But that is about as good as it got.I bought this on the basis that it would be similar to Krupnik Old Honey Liquor. There were at least three reviews stating that this made a delightful tipple either straight or on the rocks. So I took that as it being drinkable, straight. It is anything but. It is so sweet, it's sickly. My gf tried some and couldn't even get past the first sip.I tried it with a mixer and had to use a pint glass worth of pop to dilute the flavour and even then it was overpowering. It's grim. I simply cannot understand the appeal.Think of honey. Bareable right? You could eat a spoon of honey. It would be sweet. But you could do it. This is like getting a spoonful of honey, covering it entirely in white sugar and chewing it. As a shot it would be disgusting. The only recommendation for this would be as a cough medicine. 1 shot, 4 tbsp of lemon juice and hot water. Other than that, can't understand the high reviews

Like other say this is sweet and you can taste the honey. i bought this as i like margaritas and to make them properly you need simple syrup which can be a pain to make so i thought id go for this as being sweet to save making the syrup.. so half each of lime and a lemon juiced then 2 shots of this and 2 shots of triple sec or Cointreau jiggle in a shaker with ice for 20 seconds then pour and hey presto one of the best margaritas you can have or if you want a frozen one just blend with 6 ice cubes or just pour over crushed ice.honest try it and i bet you will want another hic

This thing is so good that I only wait until I fill my weekends with this and friends. Lime goes so good with this because I don't know if you know but lime + honey is a throat medicine when you have a cold, not only that but also makes you drink more.Highly recommend this and coffee version of it.

...This one smells much better from the bottle and seems to taste stronger too (despite being 1% less ABV)As to which is best, it's down to taste - if you're basing it on price then it's obviously this one. But, to be honest, it's this one all round for me now - I'll keep the Patron for visitors.

Be warned it is very sweet,but it's honey based so it should be but over lots of ice (and with a shot of plain tequila to temper it down) it is really nice, my mum in law claims it's the best cough medicine she has tasted.
