The Runaway Pumpkin Paperback – January 1, 2005

A great little story, sometimes I just want a quick fun read and this was one. I loved this book, the art was amazing. A cute pumpkin off on an adventure.

We first stumbled on this book in the library but my son asked for it every night beyond the due date. It is such a fun story to read since the pace changes from story to a rhyming chorus and back again. He can't get enough of it and I love reading it to him. Now I share this story with our friends kids when they visit on play days. Even better with Halloween coming up.

Love it but used

I enjoyed reading this book, and I feel little ones would love how sweet it is. A fun read for Halloween.

This is my favorite kids book. I read it at a friends cabin one day, fell in love with it & bought 5 copies to make sure all my siblings had it for their kids too. I have read it in school every Halloween for the last 4 years, in my daughters classes. Adorable, rhythmic & fun.

My 4-year-old son saw this book and had to have it, even though it was only April at the time. We read this before bed tonight and he really liked it. The overall concept was cute, and I liked the fact that they turned the pumpkin into various foods and a Jack O' Lantern. My son liked that the little girl's name in the book was Lil, because his baby sister's name is Lilly. All in all a nice book. Would recommend.

Easy to read and follow for young readers and illustrations keep even younger Children's attention. Perfect for this time of year!

My fault for not double checking. I was looking for the kind edition of the Kevin Lewis book the runaway pumpkin. I assumed was just a different cover page for the kindle version.. but it’s a complete different book by Anne Lewis.

Kids loved it

We stumbled accross this on holiday in a villa we were staying in- its since become one of our favourite books, especially for autumn and halloween. The rhymes are fantastic to read, we always tap our knee when we read the reaccuring verse "round and round upon the ground, making a thumpin bumpin sound...". If you love julia donaldson books you will love this too! Lets make it more well known and loved in the UK.

I LOVE this book. It reads so well, it's funny and it has rhythm. It's everything that little kids love.

Great book to teach kids how to begin writing summaries. Simple story line.
