Great Recorder
This recorder is about as good as it gets when it comes to dictating. The recorder is easy to use, has great clarity and, unlike other recorders I have recently purchased (and either threw out or returned broken), it actually operates as it should. I am pleased that one is still able to purchase a quality mini cassette recorder in this world of digital recorders.

New recorder was defective and old batteries leaking in packaging suggest a very old new product
Product does not work. Batteries that came with it were old and leaking in packaging. Installed new batteries and recorder would not run, record, forward or rewind, spindle does not turn with or without tap

great for the price
It's compact, has auto-shut off, and has decent sound quality. I couldn't ask more since it was less expensive than others that didn't have auto-shut off, an important feature since you can otherwise be dictating for minutes before you realize you've reached the end of the tape.

voice recorder
Had to order for my boss and he loves it. Small and compact, easy to use, a bit costly. Thank you

A little confusing to use
This recorder was a nice small size which was great but it was very confusing to use. I kept getting confused and then didn't get the recording that I needed. I would not buy this again. I am sure there are better options out there.

Sony hand held dictaphone
I ordered this product for my dad who is dictating details about his life growing up (he's 80) and it has worked wonderful. It is very easy to use, inexpensive and more than worth the money. I would buy this product again.

Disappointed
I am diappointed in the quality of sound and the static that it seems to pick up from the background. Also, the earlier microcassette recorders that I have purchased were made of a more durable metal material as opposed to plastic (?) Nor have I ever paid this much for a recorder before. I had higher expectations for SONY.
