Sofa Scram Sonic Deterrent/Repellent for Dogs and Cats (2 Pack)

Life changing! No more abundant lab dog hair on the couch. Our otherwise well-behaved 70 lb labradors had taken up residence on our sectional whenever we were gone from the house, preferring that to numerous other dog bed options. One attempt after I put this down has successfully prevented that behavior ever since. Loud like a smoke alarm. I’ve only had a few days so can’t attest to durability yet, but definitely works for our dogs.

These things work so well! We recently bought new leather couches and wanted to keep our dogs off of them. One of the dogs would wait til we went to bed and get on the couches every night and if we weren’t home. The first night we got these we heard the alarm shortly after we went to bed. We used them every night and she tried it again maybe a month later. I don’t alway have them turned on when I put them in there but if I leave the mats off the couch altogether she does get back on there. I was hoping that eventually she just wouldn’t get on the couches anymore. I would highly recommend them.Update: She no longer gets on the couch. I’m now using these on my tree skirts to keep our senior dog from lying on them. I wouldn’t mind but she “scratches” to make her bed and it was tearing them up. It’s been two days and as long as they are on the tree skirts she stays off of them. This would also work to keep dogs from tearing up your ornaments.

I wish I found these years ago. My dog has anxiety, and when we aren't home, he takes it out on the couch. He destroyed two couches, and no matter what we did, we couldn't keep him off of it. If you tried blocking it with chairs or other items, he would simply knock them off. Covers never worked because he would dig trying to get under them, and they would eventually rip, or come off.Now, my dog happens to have a particular aversion to loud noises (smoke detectors, fire alarms, vacuum cleaners, etc). But even if your pet is normally fine with those things, I can't imagine they would still lay on it. The alarm is so loud, we can hear it from outside.He hated the alarm, the couple times he touched it, and went running. Now, when the mat is on the couch, he doesn't even TRY. We put one on the couch, and one on the floor in front of it, to prevent him from rubbing against the couch. This product is AMAZING and it is a huge value (especially when you consider we are on our third couch). I highly recommend!

Great idea to stop pets from climbing on sofa. The batteries last for ever since it only uses power when its goes off. Is pretty loud and can scare you in the middle of the night.

This is a useless product with no deterrent effect. My cat is definitely not the smartest cat i have come across but he outsmarted this device in a matter of minutes.. It makes the loudest piercing sound you can imagine anytime anyone or anything touches it except the cat. When the cat walks on it, nothing happened most of the time. In fact, my cat lays on it. It’s also not reliable; I purchased two of them and one is much louder and much more responsive than the other despite the fact that I put new 9V batteries from the same package in both. I am amazed this product has the reviews it does. Even if it did function properly, who wants to hear an extremely loud piercing siren noise every time the cat goes on the furniture?!?! Really nice touch when you are on the phone for work or have friends over. Even the few times it did work with the cat, it had no deterrent effect whatsoever, as he just walked around it or a few times he pushed it right off the sofa with his paws. He was having none of it!! Whoever conceived of this product must have a really really dumb cat or no cat.

Incredible. Have 2 dogs that somehow 1 of them decided the dining room, that no one uses except 3 times a year, was a great place to stealth pee. Very stealthy of them, as I didn’t notice right away. After trying every spray on the market to no avail, I bought these to keep them out. Brilliant! Easier than doggie gates as my dining room entrances are over 3’ wide. Works like a charm. They tried literally two times and never again since - so nice as it still gives us easy access to the room without climbing over a gate, that being a clutz, I tend to trip over. Absolutely a recommended product. Still hesitant to use it for my formal living room though- as the damage they can do there could potentially cost me thousands.Harmless and gets the message across without pain. Two thumbs up!Back to buy two more for my den and staircase. Trying to keep the buggers on tile floors- as they seem to find new places to pee. Yes a behavioral problem- he’s eight and should know better & I don’t think my little female is the culprit. I think it’s a “I’m left home alone situation” as every time I go away without my husband it’s an issue. Short of quitting my job, crating and retraining entirely this is the next best thing and works fabulously.

These work! We turned these on once and tested it with our Lab and now we don’t need to turn them on for him to stay off lol BUT he still tries to get on if we don’t put these back on when we leave for work. I’d recommend these 10x over

These have worked great, our dog hates them and is no longer even attempting to get on the couch when we aren’t home. Easy to fold up and stow away.
