I used to use hyaluronic acid as my go-to for hydration, but this beta-glucan serum completely won me over. The texture is thicker than HA, so I expected it to sit heavy on my skin, but to my surprise, it absorbed incredibly fast and left no stickiness or residue. It feels super lightweight while still delivering intense moisture. My skin feels plump, calm, and balanced. Great for layering under moisturizer or just on its own.

This is a great hydrating serum to add to your skin care routine. It is quite thick and a little goes a long way. It doesn’t leave a residue and it plays well with other skin care products as well as makeup/sunscreen.As someone else mentioned it’s not as “life changing” as some of the claims, however it can also be used to add moisture to other products.I have a favorite sunscreen (Australian Gold light) which happens to be matte when it drys. At 57 with some fine lines all it did was highlight those no matter what primer or moisturizer I used underneath.The color (it doubles as a BB cream) is perfect for me because it has slightly pink undertones. I wanted to move away from my foundation routine and have a more “natural” look. Finding a hydrating replacement was impossible.Knowing beta glucan is added to many skin care products to enhance hydration, I decided to experiment with mixing a ratio of 40-50% beta glucan to my sunscreen to make it more “dewy”.I mixed a small amount in a little “tester jar” I had. After thoroughly mixing, it set overnight to ensure the ingredients meshed together. (I first tried this in my hand and it took awhile for everything to come together so it was homogenous).The next day I applied it to my skin and had exactly what I wanted. A silky light to medium coverage sunscreen that left my skin looking slightly dewy, but not greasy.Once it set (was no longer shiny), I applied a bit of blush and that was it. It set up leaving me looking natural - not overly dewy. It also had enough coverage to hide unevenness in my skin tone. It also doesn’t highlight my fine lines as much- only slightly under my eyes (which at my age comes with the territory).I also use this as part of my AM and PM skincare. Layering it with HA and my vitamin C serum.I will also use a bit before using my CosRx masks to add a bit more hydration. I usually spray my face with Eue Thermal mineral water before applying the beta glucan (or any HA product), then apply the mask.Overall, it’s a great option for anyone allergic to HA or wanting to boost their routine.Will it perform miracles? No. But it is a great booster.Using it in some of my cosmetics took some trial and error, but I’m really happy I tried it. So the purchase based just on that was worth it to me. Depending onhow you use it, it seems to last a long time.

A very lightweight and hydrating serum that absorbs well into skin. Doesn’t leave any filmy residue like I had with snail mucin. This serum also had a calming effect when I layered it before tretinoin. No problems using with sunscreen or makeup. This has drastically improved the look and feel of my skin.

Love this serum for my sensitive skin. Very calming and hydrating under moisturizer, particularly if skin is irritated from another active. Will always keep this as a staple now. Great for using with other moisturizing products to build up a robust skin barrier.

This is the best hydrating skin care serum that I have ever tried on my face! I use tretinoin and my skin loves this serum. It has a thicker consistency and not watery like some serums but it makes a little go a long way!

I use Tretinoin on my dry, sensitive skin mature skin so I'm always looking for products that support my skin barrier. The texture is great, feels thick but dries down quickly after a few pats from my hand. I use it after my milky toners and before my moisturizer in my skin care routine and it has made a difference in keeping my skin hydrated.

I have been practicing skin care for many years and have tried many products. I used to have very oily sensitive skin but over time it has become mature, dry, and sensitive so I adjusted my skin care accordingly as needed.I like the Iunik line and use a few of their products in my rotation. This serum does moisturize the skin quite well but I find that if I use it for to long of a time it causes red flaky patches on my face that are not at all desirable traits from a skin care product. I would put this down to an isolated incident but it did the exact same thing to my bf only worse and with only one use. I wanted to love this serum but because of the side effect on my skin I just don't. That being said it is a good product but it just may be too much of a concentration for my skin to tolerate in anything but short periods of usage. Everyone's skin is different and this is just my experience

Hydrating, calming, moisturizing on the skin without being sticky. It absorbs very fast keeps my skin hydrated for a long time. My skin type is oily but dehydrated and using the wrong serums can ruin my makeup in summer due to my skin over producing oil. This product with a light lotion type spf is all I need to ensure a long lasting, glowing skin for summer!
