Top Rated by America's Test Kitchens
I am a huge fan of America's Test Kitchens reviews of products and this was their top non-stick pan recommendation. This pan does NOT disappoint! I only keep non-stick pans for a maximum of 5 years which is when coatings begin to degrade. This pan is priced well enough to be able to replace without breaking the bank.It is perfectly non-stick from the get-go and the sides are deep enough to allow for a good quantity of food without making it awkward for using a spatula. I can't attest to the scratch resistance because I always use wood or silicone tools with non-stick cookware. The pan heats quickly and the heat is evenly distributed because it is heavy gauge aluminum. I like the fact that the handle has no coatings on it, so it is oven-safe. Under normal use, this pan will not warp. CAVEAT: almost ANY cookware (no matter how expensive) is prone to warping if you expose it to thermal shocks - i.e., going from red hot to ice cold. With this pan (as well as my All-Clad cookware), I never heat it on medium-high heat empty - I always make sure that there is butter, olive oil or food in the pan. This is especially important with non-stick coatings - Teflon will break down under extreme high heat and ceramic coatings will get ruined as well. This is a great pan and I use it any time I need a non-stick skillet. I highly recommend it.

Great pan, good price.
I really like this pan. I currently own the 8, 10 and 12" OXO frying pan and am happy with them all. This is my second 10" pan. The first lasted about a year before losing its non-stick. That actually sounds bad, but the pan was used all the time. My son eats 5 small meals a day and this pan might be used 2 or 3 times a day. He has a tendency to cook with higher heat than needed and he uses cooking spray like its going out of style. When I received this new pan, I noticed it had a sticker declaring not to use cooking spray and not to use high heat. I do not remember the first one having that sticker, but figured that was what killed the pan.Anyway, the non-stick on this is great. I have been cooking for 40+ years and have used many different brands of frying pans, from cheap Walmart brand to Calphalon and the Oxo is definitely my favorite. In terms of cost, they are in the middle of the pack, but they perform better than the much more expensive Calphalon pans that I have owned.Build quality is top notch. The pans are light, even the 12" pan, which is a huge bonus for my wife. I would most likely use Cast Iron for all my frying pan needs if they weren't so heavy. My wife won't touch them.My son recently bought a ridiculously overprice Made In stainless steel pan. It cost 2.5 times more than the Oxo and he still uses my Oxo more than his Made In. Generally, I can use a paper towel to clean these pans of debris. the Made In, no chance. That thing is a pain in the butt to clean.Don't believe the hype with pans like Made In or Hexclad. I have used Oxo brand utensils for years and have been happy with them. I didn't know the pans existed because none of my local stores sell them. I found out about them from America's Test Kitchen. They were their best pick. Project Farm also did a review of frying pans and rated the Oxo a very close second to the winner. Where has Hexclad? Below the Oxo, but more than 3 times the price.I don't think I'll buy anything but Oxo frying pans from now on.

Cooks & Cleans Like I Hoped it Would
Wife cooks, I clean. She wants light weight and inexpensive, I want non stick & dish washer safe. For a long time she threw a fit if I suggested an expensive pan like this one, but I finally had enough of hand washing cheap non-stick pans that slowly flaked away their coating and took a chance on this pan because it was highly rated by Amazon. Wife was sold when she used it. Apparently it cooks well. Nothing has stuck to it yet and I run it through the dish washer just like I have better things to do so I will be buying more till its all we have. Very nice result for me. Hope this helps you too.

Well designed skillet but non stick last 2 or 3 years only
A well designed, well balanced 10" non stick skillet. Can go into a moderate oven to finish a dish ( not over 430° ). Comfortable handle. The non stick surface will last about 2 to 2 1/2 years with care and hand-washing only, no dishwasher. After that, it loses more and more of its non-stick ability, eventually becoming quite sticky.

Mother of all fry pans
This is the slickest and most resistant to scratching of all skillets used to date! If after five years it remains pristine, a new page will have been turned.
