INTEY Pool Cleaner Automatic Suction Pool Vacuum

We have had 2 BARRACUDA - and 2 KREEPY KRAULLY units in the past 10 years. Each lasted no more than 2 1/2 seasons . At over $300 apiece you would expect a lot more longevity. So, for the hell of it we decided to try this unit since it was only $95. Although we've only had for a few weeks, so far it is performing just as well as the name brand units did when they were new. As with any auto pool vac , there is a tweaking curve to get it to perform at it's optimum, but this did not take very long to accomplish. At this price, if it lasts a year, it's well worth it . If it lasts longer we'll really be ahead of the game ! To those reviewers who can't get it to work properly, get someone with more pool savy to help you. You may need to add or remove a length or 2 of hose, or add a weight to the unit, but this is true of all suction pool vacs. UPDATE - After 1 month of use the hoses sprang leaks everywhere. No big deal , BUT the unit itself has lost suction power and now moves very slowly and comes off the bottom frequently. I believe the internal flapper has already began to wear. The unit housing is also wearing from contact with the pools walls and steps. It is pretty much useless now. Oh well - thought I'd give a cheapy a try and got less than I paid for. This is a waste of $100. I'm back to my manual pole vac, which does a great job. Too bad someone hasn't come up with a decent auto vac at a reasonable price.

Summer is early in the south, unfortunately my automatic cleaner left from previous owner is old and stopped working, I shopped around for a few days, comparing manual vacuums vs automatic vacuums, purchased the manual vacuum, and were disappointed then I turn to this as recommended by friend. The result was beyond my expectations, it climbs the wall and cleans it, easy to set up with one page instruction, no extra electricity cost like my old one requires, cost few hundred less, all I have to do is connect it to the skimmer, relax and enjoy the clean water pool. Great value compare to other kind, for manual vacuum, I have to buy simmer cover, vacuum pole and vacuum hose and the heads, which total more than this cost.

**Update*** I received an email from the company and they were really nice and helpful. They gave me tips on how to get the vac to work correctly. It still doesn’t work they way it should completely, but I wanted to keep it because it worked great on backwash and cleaned almost all the leaves out the pool. Since I’m keeping it they did give me a partial refund same day. They did not ask for me to remove or change my review, but I’m updating because the customer support was great!This vac is not for above ground pools. I could not get this vac to work more that 20 seconds. It would move then just sit in the same place. Also, I could hear the tubes sucking air when I had to lift them up to untangle which happened often.I eventually got it to work, but only with the drain plug to my filter off which I connected a backwash hose to it. When it works, the suction is strong and it moves across the pool and climbs the walls. It sucked all the leaves and pine needles from the pool. You can see the trail as it cleans. Unfortunately, I could only use it for about 30 mins because my water level would get too low. I would have to refill the pool after every use.I do not recommend for above ground pools. Don’t waste your money like I did.

We received this product and took it out of the box. I will start by saying the round disk attached to the machine was broken, and not solid coming straight out of the box. But we were so excited to try it, we decided to give it a try anyway and if necessary...return it. We assembled it in minutes flat, hooked it up to our in-ground pool, turned it on and it works great! Even with the broken piece, I give it a 5 star rating because it works. We do need 5 more pieces of tubing, and I'm not sure how we go about getting them, but I've contacted the seller and I'm waiting to hear from them. If you are a first time shopper for this type of product, as I was...and I read hundreds of reviews on this and other products...don't be shy. This product was the best $100 I've spent in a long time!

It does work.. But poorly designed.. The large debris canister is not air tight and sucks air when it reaches the surface...it tangles the hose alot even with the swivel. Gets stuck in corners and on jets.... Constantly fillips upside down and then does nothing.. There are better options

Cleans great and is the best value for the money!Has been working in my Florida in- ground pool nonstop. I experienced some problems with it getting stuck in one or two areas which I think is normal. By adjusting the weights and length of the hose I was able to correct this. If you have a lot of big leaves in the pool then they will get stuck in the cleaner, I just remove the leaves with a net regularly. It will pick up the small leaves. I don't know of any pool cleaner that will remove big leaves. Does a great job cleaning and is the Best Value for the money!

On 6/17/2019 I purchased this product since my old barracuda after 13 years quit working on me. I never heard of this brand before but for the price I couldn't go wrong. The product worked great even purchased one for my mom. 2 months later it quit working. My pool guy couldn't find the peace that broke so of course like everyone else I got upset and posted a comment here with the broken parts and called it a cheap product.9/5/2019 REVISED it's been about 3 weeks now with the replacement.As I said in my comment below, it worked great for couple months and a peace broke. I contacted the seller and told them about the problem I was having with the product. Right the way they said they would mail me another one. I only needed the broke part replaced, but they mailed me the entire product. I was surprised how nice they were and by the way awesome customer service they took care of the problem. I realize everything breaks and nothing lasts for ever, but the way they took care of it right a way, I recommend this product to anyone who needs one. I replaced the broken product with the new product and now all is good. Its working really good and my pool is clean again. This product even climbs up the wall of the pool as well, it's pretty cool actually.
