Smart solution for common homeowner tools
Combining all the tools in my father's estate with what I already owned, I gave a lot of consideration to one of those large and expensive rolling garage tool chests. But that just didn't make sense for me - as I'm not the garage tinkering / mechanic type. Oh I'm able, it's just not my thing any more. Retirement finds me more often doing remodeling and home decorating projects with the wife moreso than rebuilding an engine or working on a boat. ;^)Accordingly it made more sense for me to divide tools into 2 categories. The first being the more heavy duty shop type tools and the other hand tools for home maintenance. The former I use occasionally up in the shed, the latter inside the house. A big rolling tool box is really only useful in a garage. And then I spotted the Ironton rolling tool box and loaded it with all the tools I'd need around the house. That very weekend, my wife asked me to fix a couple of doors that weren't shutting properly after swapping out the offset (wheelchair) hinges dad's care required, for regular hinges. Normally I'd grab all the tools I thought I'd need from a pair of wide storage shelves and throw them in a plastic tote and carry it to the work area. But of course I never anticipated all the tools I'd need and made several more trips to the garage to rummage through the shelves for tools. Enter the Ironton tool box which lets me wheel all my tools to where I'm working in the house. When I'm done, I don't have to sort tools back into the shelves, but simply wheel the tool box back to the garage where it's neatly parked between a couple of tall storage shelves. I was done with the doors more quickly and my wife was happier that I didn't stack tools on her kitchen counter on the way back out to the garage. You know what they say about "happy wife ..." right? It's a win-win.Suffice it to say I am very pleased with this tool storage solution - it seems to me a much better buy - more rugged and sturdy than any all-plastic tool storage box. Admittedly the drawers are a little firm when closing them in far enough to align the locking holes - but I figure in time they'll loosen up.Photos and suggested use for the parts boxes on the lid usually show nuts and bolts. I thought they worked better as storage for all the driver bits (philips, straight, star, square, etc.), drill bits, etc. The only thing I have to remember to grab when going for my rolling tool box, is a battery or 2 for my hand tools. Thanks to Northern Tool for offering this and the quick shipment. It arrived in great condition, was easy to set up and is integral to the organized and uncluttered garage I've been wanting.

Great Portable Tool Box
Bought this for my husband for his birthday. He loves it. Each box comes off and they hold a good amount of tools. Easy transporting, durable and a great value for the money.

Not for the professional's
I had high hopes for the little setup. It's more plastic than metal, this makes it not durable. It would probably be good for a home owner but not a professional. I had issues with drawers coming open once tools were in drawers. Locking them didn't matter because it's a metal drawer and plastic which broke through the plastic allowing drawers to open. Just be aware of what you're using it for, it's light to medium use.

Flimsy and weak
Drawers don't stay shut, absolutely no latches of any type, try to carry the boxs all the drawers will slam open if you move it around the draerrs will slam open and tip it over.the telescoping handle is very weak and flimsy the one I have pulled apart after a few uses.

Flexibility of the Product
I have sectioned off an area in the bed of my Ford F-150 using a piece of 2x12 wood, placed in one of the designed slots by Ford. I was seeking a toolbox for this space that could be broken down and flexible enough to be used to carry one or multiple toolboxes depending on the job requirement and could be located between the tailgate and the wood.My ideal toolbox would have drawers for better organization, come in sections, have a pull cart for mobility, and fit perfectly in this designated area. This toolbox met all these criteria, with smooth-rolling drawers. I recommend getting a small lock for each drawer to prevent them from opening inadvertently if the toolbox tilted forward.I created this space as an alternative to a toolbox that spans the bed, allowing me to install a bed cover and keep my tools organized without spending much money. This solution has worked well for me.

Broke in six weeks returns are at your expense.
The media could not be loaded. Broke within six weeks I don’t even have tools in here just light things. Here’s the thing 170 bucks. It ain’t a lot of money but ain’t a small amount of money. It’s poorly made. I got a little video attached to talk you through what the damages were. I’m gonna send this thing back for a refund however I gotta spend the cost on shipping it back. They know people are gonna return this stuff so they don’t want to carry that warranty of expense. I spoke to them directly We agreed on me leaving them a negative feedback as well as me filing a claim with Amazon which apparently you can do and reclaim the shipping cost. Amazon will file a claim against the seller.
