This is how a subwoofer should sound!
My new condo was prewired for in-wall speakers and a hidden media closet, a setup I've never had before. After finally connecting everything, I realised that I would have to invest in a subwoofer as the in-wall speaker setup rendered my full range JBL speakers redundant. Since my AV receiver was now in the closet and the subwoofer cable, for some reason, was routed to the outlet behind the TV, I figured a wireless sub was the way to go. There are many transmitter/receiver options which will allow you to add this capability to any sub, but I was interested in a fully integrated solution to avoid compatibility issues. At first I went with the Klipsch R-10SWi 10" Wireless Subwoofer - Brushed Black Vinyl. This is decently built sub with a very well integrated Wifi solution. The sub worked very well with the transmitter sitting in the closet connected to my AVR. I was, however, just not pleased with the sound. The bass on the Klipsch was just too boomy and loose. While this may give the perception of a lot of bass, it was just not good bass. Many people prefer this kind of bass as it shakes things around the living room and makes explosions sound very dramatic, but if you've ever heard well controlled tight bass, you'd know this is just not it.The ML sub is MUCH more expensive, so one would expect it to be a better performer. The biggest difference between the ML and Klipsch sub is the design, one is sealed while the other is ported. The ported design of the Klipsch is largely responsible for the boomy bass, the ML on the other hand has very tight and controlled bass. Drums have excellent attack and bass notes don't linger at all. Another big design benefit is the smaller footprint of the sub, it is less imposing and looks very sleek. The only knock I had with the ML sub was that its Wifi solution wasn't as powerful as the Klipsch. With the transmitter in the closet, the bass would either be extremely delayed or just cut out. Luckily I could place the transmitter behind my TV thanks to the subwoofer cable, this alleviated the lag issue all together.Overall, this is an amazing sub for the money! If you manage to find one as B-stock, its a lot more affordable.

Great little subwoofer. Very happy for the price
Incredibly small and the perfect solution for a small sub to fit discreetly in the corner of my family room in the space next to the A/V cabinet. High quality looks with minimalist design make it very unobtrusive. Oh, and it has plenty of power and clean bass to boot. I am using this in a 5.1 setup with five modest in-wall speakers and a Sony AVR. I only have the sub volume at like 30-40% and it blends in perfectly, neither too loud and fake nor too quiet to meet expectations of a sub. I suggest trying the front firing configuration. I initially had it in the default downfiring position and bass was not super clean and had inconsistent levels depending on listening position. Switched to front firing (and added the included spiked feet) and bass sounds super accurate and tight and nice and level throughout the room. Couldn't be happier with this purchase.

Solid subwoofer
I initially purchased the Monoprice 12" 9723 which is considered to be the best budget sub on the market but returned it the following day as it sounded boomy / hollow and was distractingly easy to locate in the room. This Logan Martin is smaller at 10" but sounds infinitely better with rich deep bass notes and smooth integration with my ELAC B6.2 speakers. I did initial testing with a wired configuration but I confirmed that the wireless function works well and plan to use it when I relocate the sub. With my hard wood floors the front firing orientation was much better than down firing.

Wireless connection not good.
I purchased this because of the wireless feature. With a wired connection, it gives a good bass output. However, with the wireless connection, it keeps cutting out. I'll be returning this one because it does not serve my need.

Good sub. Transmitter is bad.
The sub is great. For a little ten incher it puts out a ton of tight bass. Especially nice for music. The transmitter is extremely annoying. I spent the last month doing little experiments trying to get rid of annoying thumping that would randomly show up. I turned off pretty much everything in my house that transmits an RF signal including all WiFi and Bluetooth devices. I even turned my phone onto airplane mode. The thumping never went away. I then moved the transmitter to the other side of the room, and it was still there. The only thing that got rid of it was plugging it directly into the reiever and skipping the transmitter. I’ve given up on it being a wireless sub. It’s too annoying, which sucks since that a big part of why I bought this sub in the first place.I think it’s the actual transmitter picking up it’s own interference. That’s my best guess since it’s the same loud no matter where it is placed in a room.

This Sub Is Fantastic
I will confess that it took me several hours to get this Subwoofer to work with the wireless transmitter. But after contacting Martin Logan (thanks Ron), and re-reading the manual it works great. Your 'mileage may vary' depending on how tech-savvy you are. This Sub is fantastic. Paired with my Motion 40s it literally blows away the Boston Acoustics I had been using. The bass is tight and precise once configured for your system and room. Being a perfectionist, I nearly drove my wife crazy adjusting and re-adjusting. But since it sounds so good now, all is well.If you are already familiar with the quality of Martin Logan speakers I don't need to waste my time trying to convince you about this Sub's awesomeness. IMHO, this is the best in this price range. Get it. You'll be glad you did.

Changing my review - amazing sub, absolutely love it
I was a little disappointed in a few minor things I didn't like about the physical design and left a four star review but after a week with this sub I don't care. I'm giving it five stars. It sounds just amazing. Martin Logan's reputation seems justified. Man the bass out of this thing is smooth and clean with plenty of power. Fills in music and movies wonderfully without you even being aware of its existence. And it's SUBSTANTIALLY smaller than the Klipsch 10" I had, while sounding much better.
