James Patterson nearly always entertains me with his thrillers/mysteries. I found First Lady to be not always believable, but nevertheless entertaining. In this stand alone novel, the President of the United States is caught on film leaving a hotel with a woman who is not his wife. When the First Lady learns th the truth, she goes riding at a horse farm that she likes. When her Secret Service protectors arrive to make sure that she is all right, the First Lady 's riderless horse comes back to the stable. It becomes the job of the job of the female head of the Secret Service to find the missing First Lady at the request of the president, and it is all to be kept secret that she has gone missing. The story keeps the reader engaged, and I enjoyed the book.

Plot of intrigued / layers of deceit/ lots plot twists /I wanna see the first lady in her own development in the next book ,.. Jennifer Dubois is fabj!ous / great character development & fast paced & besides murder & msyhem...heart!!I wanna read any book Dubois writes with Patterson ..

This was a good story. Kept wondering what was going to happen, exciting. Good ending. James Patterson is a great story teller/writer. Very happy I bought the book, good reading.

This book starts out with a compelling storyline. While much of it definitely rests on an almost cliche event- politicians who are morally bankrupt and power hungry- it can be overlooked because it’s done in a way that makes for fun reading. Where it falls flat is the lack of depth in the characters. The author doesn’t really ‘flesh’ them out. We are told one character was poor another a ‘white knight’ persona, but we aren’t given anything to make us FEEL for them. One character he makes so ‘wishy-washy’ followed by just plain bland it’s hard to care at all.

I wish that like new didn't include library copies but it was a good copy nonetheless. So the price should have been less. Arrived quickly.

This book is typical Patterson. The characters blend together sell & the story moves along quickly. The ending is unexpected just like I enjoy.

As usual JP writes an " I can't put it down" book.Pick it up and enjoy a good read.
