Q: Is it considered hard to grow?

The leaves on mine are not as close as they look in the picture. It is still growing just not quite what I except.

Hello,what is working for my plant is 72-75.I hope that helps.And it gets indirect sunlight.

Q: This plant comes with a piece of red twine at the top. Should that be removed or not, and will removing affect how the plant grows? Thanks.

I'm told that the red ribbon,or tie is for luck. Mine came with a red bag tie and I switched it with a nice piece of ribbon. It adds to the conversation!

Q: Is this considered a houseplant, or should it be planted outside?

I considered it to be a houseplant because it needs indirect light. However living in a very hot climate (Las Vegas.NV) indirect light is too hot so mine died. It seems to be a very delicate type of house plant.
