Q: I tried to use these to join 2x6 boards but the screw tip comes through the opposing side I have the bit collar set to the proper depth. Any ideas?

Are you setting the depth at the shoulder or at the tip? I set at the shoulder and it works for me. Try putting the jig at 1-1/2 inches and then putting the bit in the jig and setting the collar so the bit almost touches the base of the jig. The object is to have the bit exit the first piece of wood at the center of the wood (3/4" from each side for 1-1/2 inch 2*4) scott vmtwcom

Kreg 2.5" pocket screws (blue).

Arrived on time, nicely made and in a good sturdy box. Used to build a workbench, all joints good and tight when pulled up, although did use glue as a belts and braces measure. Will be using these again.

Expensive

Kreg screws are expensive but they do the Job. I usually use Trend screws which are equally as good and a lot cheaper. But I don’t think they do them in this side so Kreg it had to be.

Pocket hole perfection

Great product, I have used them before and they work perfectly with the pocket hole system. Pocket holes are so much tidier than standard methods of using screws.
