ice berg slim-not even his real moniker-who knew?
the man who wrote a book that captured the young people of yesterday who had no real future (drugs,no job, tired of school, no money, no real friends, trying to act cool, trying to dress to impress, working in slave jobs, admiring the super slick pimps who had it all, (we thought, ha,ha), and we came from broken homes which also added to our misery. of course I do not speak for the black kids who made a good decent life for themselves and family as adults (we thought of them as squares, we were so wrong, if I could do it over again I would be one of them, wow) so I say to all lovers of iceberg, read all of his books and fantasize what you could have been for you. because if you still reading about slim at your age, you are still alive and kicking and the younger generation has no idea what the game of life is really all about!

Me dog ate the one I rented from my local library so the librarian suggested that I order it from amazon to cut the replacement fee by 95%. I was truly grateful.

Rather Foxy
Read most of Iceberg Slim's books. This one didn't fail to deliver a view into past American ghetto life, comedic moments and some rather raunchy bits. More gripping in some parts than others, but still a good read.
